''Code table'' best practices?
...have this:
Table: PLANS
ID int
CATEGORY_CODE_ID int
--Other junk removed for clarity
Table: CATEGORY_CODES
ID int
DESCRIPTION varchar(200)
"category codes", to the user, are 6-digit numbers, sometimes with
leading zeroes, that have specific meanings.
My customers usually want a metric truckload full of reports. Often,
there are more reports than actual business logic. So much fun.
Reports get much, much easier when you don''t need to join over into a
lookup table constantly.
It would be nice to able able to simply say:
Plans.find_all_by_category_code ''123456''...

Hardware IAX phone (please read and reply!)
...interested and promised to have a deeper look into the issue.
So now for the big part: everybody PLEASE give your suggestions about
what the IP phone of your choice should look/work/... like. The main
reason we started the talks was the cost of currently available
phones (even $70+s&h is a truckload of money for a phone here in
Poland) but any and all suggestions are welcome.
I'd also love to hear from the more hardware-oriented people - do you
have any suggestions about used chips, controllers, codecs, whatever?
As I said, although they've been making phones for years, they
haven...

Change Tab behavior in 3.0+
Hey all,
I have a question regarding the choice to move to spaces (rather than tabs)
in the editor.
May I ask the reasoning behind this?
Furthermore, is there a way to revert to the ''old style'' that used tabs
instead? I prefer this, as it makes the code look cleaner.

AIX Testers Needed.
Hello AIX folks,
I am changing the packaging of Samba for AIX. Presently Samba is built with
a truckload of static libs and bound up in a package that has no other
support for the supporting infrastructure.
What I'd like to do instead is make as much of the package dependant upon
shared libs and to allow for completeness of the package. In other words,
BDB, OpenSSL, OpenLDAP, SASL, KRB5, libiconv...

dmarc report faild ?
In the same vein,
I am receiving forensic DMARC reports from mx01.nausch.org.
Whenever I send a message to the mailing list or when my server sends a
DMARC report, I'm getting a DMARC Forensic report.
It's odd, because the actual report tells me both DKIM and SPF (in the
the of a DMARC report) pass...
Here is what I am getting :
This is an authentication failure report for an email

AD RODC not being used because of missing DNS entries?
...eturns:
_ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.ad.example.nl has SRV record 0 100 389 DC1.ad.example.nl.
and
# host ad.example.nl
returns:
ad.example.nl has address 192.168.223.100
which is the address of DC1. I thought it should also return a second ip address for DC2.
in the /var/log/samba/log.samba I see truckloads of this:

../source4/dsdb/dns/dns_update.c:330: Failed DNS update - with error code 4
Should I add the records manually? Should they have been added when I joined the RODC to the domain?
Or am I wr...

Please Help: Trying to build Asterisk - bazillions of errors
Hi
I followed the instructions on the Asterisk website for download and
building Asterisk. I checked out a fresh copy from the CVS tree as
described and that went smooth, but when I try to build as described, I
get a truckload of errors and I have absolutely no clue what this all
means.
Can anybody please give me some hints or perhaps provide a link to a
pre-compiled version?
thanks in advance and apologies for the incredibly long error log ...

usable/affordable usb phone?
...er. The kind of thing which is small enough so you can take it
on a trip to place VoIP calls from your laptop. Something that ties into
asterisk on linux and (more importantly to be honest) a softphone on XP
or even its own client.
Browsing the web I found that most places either sell them by the
truckload or with a service contract attached. TigerJet, Clarisys and
Quicknet phones were the only ones I could find with the latter not
getting the best grades on this list.
Is Digium planning to offer usb handsets in the future? Who has
experiences with either the TigerJet oder Clarisys design? Who knows...

Who said there was no support on this list? Look at that, Jerry's

12. Misha added a new top-level "CREDITS.TXT" file, where we can keep
track of all people who have contributed to LLVM.
13. The usual truckload of bug fixes. Of particular note, the C++
front-end has made major improvements, and is now able to compile the
252.eon SPEC benchmark, among others. The sparc back-end also
supports the invoke instruction now (although it does not support
unwinding), like the X86 backend.

Secure delete?
Hi all
Is it possible to securely delete a file from a zfs dataset/zpool once it''s been snapshotted, meaning "delete (and perhaps overwrite) all copies of this file"?
Best regards
