[Trisquel-users] I am fed up with YouTube!
May be wish for an addon which on-the-fly convert flv/mp4 videos to ogg in browser. Firefox can run/display ogg videos. Currently I have to download them manually using download helper extension and then i use OggConvert to convert it into ogg video. Then I watch it. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

(Since that, I know of other people that have the same NVIDIA chip, and that are able to run nouveau on their cards...) The report of my experience, for anyone interested in it, can be read here: http://trisquel.info/en/forum/nouveau-mi-eq-overflowing Thank you very much, all of you, for your help. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Should I dump my Nvidia card from the less known brand "Gainward"?
...e, with this specific graphics card, where I can't even make the nouveau drivers run on it, let alone run well... I've already made several tests, with different kernels, and there's really no way that I can make this graphics card work with the nouveau driver. (My results here: http://trisquel.info/en/forum/nouveau-mi-eq-overflowing#comment-43762) And, the problem that appears, is what is listed here: http://trisquel.info/en/forum/nouveau-mi-eq-overflowing And, after learning, in this mailing-list, that people who use this card's ASUS equivalent with the same Nvidia chip, don't...

What current UPS can I buy?
...untime from the batts and o course run the automated shutdown and reboot sequence through nut that would be great. The server I'm looking at has a PSU capable of 200W but I don't expect to be maxing out the system capabilities at all. I'll be running either Debian Wheezy(most likely) or Trisquel 6.0 and I'd like to just use the pre-packaged version of NUT rather than building a new package if I can. I don't know if that's enough information to point me in the right direction or not. Thanks

Any tips to avoid Nouveau crashes & freezes?
...onfigurations we've tested to crash/freeze from about once a day to several times a day. This is mainly a problem when we are live streaming our annual LibrePlanet conference, which is happening next weekend. More info: Our kernels don't load any nonfree firmware blobs. Currently they run Trisquel 11. We've tried various Nvidia cards, about 3 different generations. For video conferencing, we use webrtc through BigBlueButton (versions with older free MongoDB) on chromium (it's webrtc video has been more performant than mozilla based browsers). I've attached a kernel log of an e...

Nouveau should create a script to download the bleeding-edge version
I've tried to use Nouveau several times, with several operative systems (Ubuntu, Mint, Trisquel). Seemingly, the versions of Nouveau are too old, since my screen is detected as being smaller than it is. All in all, I tried to follow the instructions to build from scratch (in order to have the really latest version), and failed. Would somebody mind to create a script to download the sources, c...

The logs in the post show that you're using a 3.2.0 kernel, which is several years old. Might I recommend trying something a bit more recent? Like 3.11. -ilia

What current UPS can I buy?
I'm sure this has been asked before and I did search the list archives but anything I did find looked to be older. I'm looking at buying some UPS and I'm not sure how to tell which currently sold models are supported by NUT. I know that not every new model will be supported but there has to be some right? Is there a specific designation I can look for in the technical specs that
