I still have not been able to mount a folder called New Stuff in smbfs. Dear Samba members, I am wondering if on joining a realm (with security=ADS), samba 3.x server gets automatically registered with MS Dynamic DNS server. This is a port of a patch I contributed to ssh 1.2.23 in May 1998. I have missed the functionality after moving to OpenSSH so I have updated the patch and hope OpenSSH might accept it. The patch allows sshd_config to have lines like: AllowUsers root at localhost AllowUsers tridge@* AllowUsers guest at 192.168.2.* DenyUsers badguy@* etc. I found this useful for restricting users to only login from hostnames that they pre-arranged with me. The packaging/lsb/rsync.spec file is broken as shipped: It has a "Sept" month (rpmbuild here takes only 3-letter month names), and RH gzips the manpages, so the %files list can't find them. Like whe I tried dynamic updates, and tried to join a W2k8 server to samba4 domain, as Tridge, showed on his video he never got that "cannot determine if DNS server supports dynamic updates", it remains unsolved for me and unanswered. It'dbe nice to see how Tridge had his DNS setup?, did he run dhcpd on that same machine?, did he create dns zones manually?. I hope this time...

Hi, Do I actually need a 'path' entry for each printer share defined in my smb.conf? Or is 'path' redundant in this case as the only relevance it has would be for the printing spool directory, which is defined by my /etc/printcap for all my printers anyway?? The man page for smb.conf seems to suggest that I do need a path entry, so should this be the same as the spool directory
