As far as I can tell, all of the grammar work is now in - if anyone has feedback to share, please do so before I spend lots of time cleaning up the patches so they can be integrated back. http://www.tric.nl/nl/Asterisk Regards, Cees -- Cees de Groot http://www.tric.nl <cg@tric.nl> tric, the new way helpdesk/ticketing software, VoIP/CTI, web applications, custom development

...n do a minimum number of polishing rounds. The patch is a bit brute-force (but then, so is say.c), I'm just keeping it that way until I have a good overview of what is necessary to make Asterisk speak more than one language and then I'll attempt to create something less messy. http://www.tric.nl/nl/Asterisk has links. The site is in Dutch, of course ;-). Hth, Cees -- Cees de Groot http://www.tric.nl <cg@tric.nl> tric, the new way helpdesk/ticketing software, VoIP/CTI, web applications, custom development

ransomware etc
Hi all, Just out of curiosity: is there anything we can do, on the samba side, to counter the recent ransomware attacks? (or limit the damage done) I'm thinking like: limit the number of files per second a client (workstation) is allowed to edit, or some other smart tricks..? It would be nice if samba could be an extra layer of defense. Something perhaps a vfs module could help with..? Anyone with tips, trics, ideas? MJ

corrupt sam.ldb on a dc
...=scope, attrs=['dn'], controls=controls) root at dc1:~# Has anyone ever had this? On my dc2 everything seems to be fine (although the samba-tool dbcheck is still running) I'm guessing this is fairly serious, but fortunately dc2 is still fine. Has anyone ever experienced this? Tips, trics how to proceed now? Replication doesn't seem to work anymore. I guess that's why my dc2 is still healthy. I hope someone here has some clever do's and don'ts... Regards, MJ

Perhaps someone here knows how to combine --match "geoip" and "multiport" in one single rule? Anyway: for us these combined measures did the tric. Users in one of the imap-blocked countries will have to use ActiveSync (works over https), the webmail-interface, or launch the VPN first. This works for us. Asterisk behind NAT << How to do it.
Thanks to ww and his patch on bug #104, I have successfully implemented Asterisk behind NAT without using STUN or anything crazy. It's quite straight forward. Until this gets tested enough and put into CVS, you will have to patch your chan_sip.c file to do this. I'm sure within the next few days this will get put merged into CVS if no one finds any problems. I tried this on chan_sip.c
