so I found that one of my VM hosts seems to have been compromised in some way; I've shut it down, isolated it, found a few odd things like gibberish comments and odd hostnames that I don't recognise pointed back to 127.0.0.1 in /etc/hosts. I tried TRD and it seems mildly useful, but has more of a windowsy feel for what it wants to be able to fix. does anyone know of something with more linux rootkit detection as a focus? The telco tech I've been working with says that he's been sending "reset all channels" signals to my system, to which he's getting an "establish remote" response from my asterisk box. I've been running a packet dump (wanpipemon -i w1g1 -c trd) of my d-channel this whole time and have yet to see a single incoming packet. I believe I *should* be seeing an incoming packet when he sends the reset, correct? Is there any way to do a completely raw dump of the d-channel? Hey. How would I set up my dialplan if a user wants to call its voicemail from an external phone? I'm thinking of getting the user to enter its mailbox number. Something like this: 1. I build a DomU kernel on RHEL AS5.1.
