Smbclient cant transer large files
Hello I have a problem transferring files >64KB to a Windows share, it worked fine until a few weeks ago (see bottom for information). The issue seems identical to https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2016-November/204558.html, and I added a Wireshark-Dump which begins directly after NTLMSSP_AUTH authentication (don't want to add login information). The error is always "Write AndX

A doubt
HI I am working in a project and i needed to know if the combination HTB+SFQ, works well.. So i started to do a test with tcng. I put during 20 minutes 4 types of traffic between 2 computers, a http file transfer, a ftp file transfer, a tftp file transer and a ssh interactive transfer. In all the protocols with file transfer (FTP, HTTP, TFTP) i obtained good results, the percentage of bandwidth was looked like previously formed, but in the ssh interactive transfer, the real percentage of bandwidth was extremely superior to the formed percentage....

A strange problem with my daily backups performed via rsync
Problem solved. But I would like to know for my own sake if --delete can be made to work while preventing a certain directory from deletion in the backup : rsync -av --delete src dst # but protect dir dst/XYZ from deletion I tried "--filter 'protect dst/XYZ'" but that does not prevent the directory dst/XYZ from being deleted. Thanks for your reply, Manish Jain On

Problem copying directories using sftp
...with both WinSCP 3.6.8 and 3.7.0 beta dated 2004-10-12 with both the Norton and the Explorer interface. The problem does not occur using SCP as the protocol. The problem occurs from several client machines. The server uses the SSH protocol version 2 with aes encryption and compression. The file transer protocol is SFTP(v3). The AIX-box runs OpenSSH-3.9p1. The problem does not occur using a RedHat Linux 9.0 box, i.e. this does not HAVE to be a WinSCP problem. However, creating directories on the AIX machine using Cygwin sftp works fine. I hope somebody can help with this. Best regards, Bern...

Rcpp: Clarifying the meaning of GPL?
I wrote the Rcpp library and the RcppTemplate package to make it easier for developers to contribute packages to the R community. In addition to providing detailed documentation on package creation it provides a clean object mapping between R anc C++ that helps developers to implement packages that benefit from the performance of C++ and the flexibility of R. The package named 'Rcpp' was

[Asterisk-Dev] RE: [Asterisk-biz] Asterisk training andcertification :: AstriconTraining
I feel this is a slap in the face for those of us that have been here and I don't feel I should HAVE to pay to be certified... I think me and MANY others are about to walk out of the project over this. I have already spoken with many people that are close to the project. You're hurting US and our ability to make money. I still know the code better than most of the people that will be

Cisco 2620 as PRI gateway
I just inherited a Cisco 2621 with a VWIC-1MFT-T1 card in it. Can I make this thing into MGCP gateway or even a SIP gateway for asterisk? Seems like it should bee useful for something! I'm perfectly happy to do my homework, but also don't feel thee need to reinvent the wheel! So, links with relevant info would be appreciated. If there is a config for a 2621 being used as a gateway

CentOS Server Backup Options
What do you guys recommend for backing up a small CentOS server in a business environment. It will have (3) 300gb drives in a raid 5 array but I don't anticipate more than about 25gb of data that needs to be backed up each night. I want a lot of backups with a rotation scheme that included daily, weekly, and monthly copies. I want the daily copies of the data kept until the next week, and
