Which libtiff 3.8.2 do I grab?
Via google: libtiff 3.8.2
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/2839214/com/libtiff-3.8.2-2.x86_64.rpm.html
This got me to a page all about libtiff 3.8.2 for 'Fedora other' and a link
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3?stat=3&search=libtiff&srodzaj=3
for other distributions.
So which do I take?

Using Puppet's client certificates for Apache, SSLVerifyClient
Hi -
I read up on this subject quite a bit, and was able to find a few
posts on the mailing list, even found a wiki article. Unfortunately
it doesn''t quite address what I''m looking to do.
From what I understand, Puppet''s client/server authentication system -
using SSL - is portable. I believe that I should be able to use the
same SSL certificates and keys (and even

Preforming an action/trigger after a user successfully authenticates
Hi -
I have searched the docs for v1.0 RC7, but cannot find what I'm looking for.
What I'm ultimately wanting to do is have Dovecot preform some action,
or a trigger, when the user is successfully authenticated. Even more
specifically, I'd like to run another SQL query to record a date/time
for last authenticated login.
Short from running a script during logrotate, or constantly

Status of OL / OB flapping with no real pattern
Hi, all -
I've searched the archives, and although I've come close to finding a
few things that describe my problem, I haven't been able to nail it
down.
Basically I've got 8 TrippLite SU3000RTXR3U's (Couldn't it be a simple
model number, like "4UPS"? hah!), and when I tap in to them with nutc,
I see that the status flaps back and forth between OL and OB quite

Perl modules not working properly when installed via yum?
Hello, all -
I've been dealing with this problem for quite a while, and most of my
solutions have just been dirty hacks. I'd like to find an appropriate
solution.
I've installed perl modules in the past via yum. Sure, they get
installed - but none of my perl applications can find them. I know that
this is a long outstanding issue, because I have yet to find a real
solution.

Formal definitions of R-language.
Hello!
Some CS-guys (the type who knows what Church formalism is) keep asking
me questions about formal definitions of R-language that I can not
answer (or even understand). Is there some freely available papers which
I can throw at them where it would be explained is R
functional/OOP/procedural language, does it use weak/strong,
dynamic/static typization, does it use lazy or ...(do not know

Motherboard recommendations
I have been building my systems with Abit IS-10 motherboards, but NewEgg has
stopped carrying them, so I need to switch to something new.
Does anyone have any recommendations on a solid motherboard that works well
with CentOS? I need a motherboard with built-in video, LAN, and SATA. I
don't need RAID or any other fancy features, just something cheap and solid.
I've been looking around,

Installing Dag's RPMs
Hello, all -
I wanted to know your guys' success rate when installing and rebuilding
RPMs in CentOS (specifically 4.0) that have come from Dag's Repositories
(http://dag.wieers.com/packages/).
I have noticed a number of these packages stalling at various points
throughout an rpmbuild process, and I can't quite get it. It looks
almost as if they were all built for RHEL4.0, but if

Kickstart-based Install, editing comps.xml, hdlist/hdlist2
Hello, all -
I've been throwing the question around on the kickstart-list for the
last few days here, and can't quite get ahold of things. Please, allow
me to explain.
I am in the process of making a custom CentOS/RHEL kickstart install.
It works well right now; however, it's a hackjob, and I am not
comfortable with it as of yet.
For the past few days, I've even gone as far as

MDBOX DSYNC error: Broken physical size in mailbox
Hi All,
I currently have a small Dovecot server (Server A) and I've installed a
second dovecot mailbox server (server B) and am trying to sync mailboxes
from Server A to Server B.
Both servers sit behind two dovecot directors on separate hosts and have
identical config files (doveconf -n output below). Mailboxes on Server A
are on an NFS mount.
Server A has been working fine with no

Load Balancing
Hi,
We are starting a new project, and are trying to decide the best way to
proceed. We want to setup a LAMP configuration using Centos, something
we have been doing in the past with great success.
The question is load balancing. We antisipate the potential for the
system to receive 500,000 requests/ day with in the next year. We want
to plan for that extra load now as we start the

Build Instructions, utils, used by CentOS team
Hello -
A few months back, I had a bunch of questions regarding hacking up a
centOS install, even going as far as editing comps, adding my own
packages as part od @base and @core install groups, etc etc. It was
quite an adventure.
However, I haven't don it in a while, so naturally, I forgot a lot about it.
I'm trying to remember who it was that had forwarded me docs and scripts

Semi-OT: OpenSource DRM server on CentOS?
Hello, all -
I understand that this is moderately OT, but hey, since I plan on
running it on top of CentOS.... ;) Please bear with me.
For our company's internal use of protected media, I have been asked to
investigate any and all kinds of OpenSource DRM servers/services.
I wouldn't imagine that (if this exists) an OpenSource DRM server daemon
would exist on the stock CentOS release,
