Loop Help
Hi all,
I am a beginner R user and need some help with a simple loop function.
Currently, I have seven datasets (TOWER1,TOWER2...TOWER7) that are all in
the same format (same # of col and headers). I am trying to add a new column
(factor) to each dataset that simply identifies the dataset. Ultimately, I
would like to merge all 7 datasets and need that column to identify what
rows came from what

Recycling and keeping backups - Tower of Hanoi management of backups using rsync
Thanks to Kevin and Paul for responses.
We use a modified Tower of Hanoi scheme (on top of rsync and --link-dest
and recycling) for deciding which backups to keep.
Here is a sample of our holdings for one area:

Small clarification: the hardware compatibility list isn't broken down by operating system (theoretically, the drivers should work on any POSIX system, with additional

retrieving weights from a polr object
Dear list members,
The polr() function in the MASS package takes an optional weights argument
for case weights. Is there any way to retrieve the case weights from the
fitted "polr" object? Examining both the object and the code, I don't see
how this can be done, but perhaps I've missed something.
Any help would be appreciated.

Samba dosn't seem to work when bridging is enabled under FreeBSD 3.4
Hi,
I have been trying to set up a network bridge on my FreeBSD 3.4 machine (hades),
and as soon as I enable the bridge, Samba stops servicing requests from both
sides of the network.
The following is a 'diagram' to give you an idea of my setup.

Get an object other than primary key ID
Hello,
i want to retrieve and object from a table other than primary
key ID.
eg: @sites.each do |@site|
@site_id = @site.id
@tower = Tower.find(:all, :conditions => ["site_id =?",
@site_id])
Tower Belongs to Site. so Site_id is a reference in tower object.
there will be only one Tower object for Site Object.
Should we give relation as has_obne in

Special Information Tones
I'm having a problem with Verizon Wireless.
I would be extremely surprised if I was the only one having this problem.
It seems to me that Verizon Wireless might be able to use one of the
Special Information Tones to allow us to solve the problem.
But I really do not whether my suggestion is compliant with the ITU-T standards.
Perhaps someone can give me an expert opinion on whether I

Well, 2.6.5 is from August 2012, so it's not the newest. And eventually, we would like people to switch to the shiny new nutdrv_qx driver which is in 2.7.1. But I'm pretty much guessing here
