[OT] search for implementation of GetThreadTimes

wine initialising... then nothing
I installed WPO2000 on RedHat 7.2 - it worked fine for a while. I used the updated install scripts and Mr. Torrie's CorelWine rpm. It has been working fine for a couple of weeks (and continues to do so on another machine). Now when I start the WP application, I get a window that says "Wine initializing...", then it goes away (a little too quickly, I think), and then... nothing. Any ideas?...

finding contours in a matrix
Hi, I have matrix of sea bottom depths that I am plotting in R with the function 'image'. I am particularly interested in the 200m depth contour (I'm using 'distance from this feature' as a covariate in a model) and would like to extract the data at evenly spaced points along it. nls confidence intervals
Hi, Does anyone know how to compute the confidence prediction intervals for a nonlinear least squares models (nls)? I was trying to use the function 'predict' as I usually do for other models fitting (glm, lm, gams...), but it seems that se.fit, and interval computation is not implemented for the nls... Samba with multiple domains with LDAP backend
Hi. I need to setup a single Samba server with multiple domains. I did more than one setup with single domain, but I'm having troubles finding info about multiple domain, especially with LDAP. S+ style implementation of GAM for R?
Hi, I've got the R library "mgcv" for GAM written by Simon Wood which works well in many instances. printing with wine thru ghostscript
The printing howto is a little vague in this area. How do I go about printing through ghostscript from windows? I know how to teach ghostscript to print the ttfs (generate the appropriate afms, add them to the fontmap). Where do I place the afms for wine to use? If I provide afms for each truetype font for wine, and then use a postscript printer ppd file, and set lpt1 to be |lpr, will this

Expiring password problem with AD config
Hi. I've set up a configuration with a Samba PDC usgin Ubuntu 10.04 and Samba 3.4.7. The backend is LDAP (zimbra ldap). I've an annoying issue, where even if in LDAP for every user I set "password never expires", at every login Windows prompts me for changing it. Changing password on unix client joined to AD
Hi. I've set up a Samba PDC on Debian, working fine with XP Clients. I'm now trying to have a linux client join the domain. I managed to do that, but I cannot handle password expiration. When the domain pass is expired, in GDM I see a message "Your password is expired" but the user can log in anyway. I used the following guide to configure my Linux client, which is an Ubuntu

smbpasswd and ldap
