No UID associated with this user name
...n our apple boxes I get an
error message saying SAMBA alias could not be opened becasue the
original item could not be found.
If I try and modify a users password on the unix server I get

LDAP IDMAP not working
Hi all,
anyone able to point out why I'm not able to get samba 3.0.0 to update my LDAP server with any idmap data? I'm using SunOne DS 5.2 LDAP server and the following entries in my smb.conf file,
ldap admin dn = "uid=admin,ou=Administrators,ou=TopologyManagement,o=NetscapeRoot"
ldap ssl = off
; ldap suffix = "dc=testlan,dc=bbc,dc=co,dc=uk" ** have tried with this attribute on and off **

Help with LDAP authentication - user / user+domain
...dovecot and I've implemented it
with VD domains. But nowadays I still have one domain at my servers. So
to no cause to much impact to users, I'd like to provide this two ways
of authentication.
Here follows my dovecot-ldap.conf:
