Offhook tone in channel OSS/dsp
Hi,
I have to develop a phone application using asterisk's
chan_oss.
When the phone is idle, i.e. the last command was a hangup,
one hears a "toot, toot, toot, ..."
But unforuntaly its use is in Germany, where one expects
a continous "toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ..."
before dialing.
Is there anything to define the tone indicating
"ready to dial"?
Roger.

I just finished compiling an android version of our reshaped shine
encoder [1] there:
http://rastageeks.org/~toots/shine-android.tar.gz
In order to use it, you'll need to make /system read-write and copy
lib/libshine.so.1.0.0 to /system/lib/libshine.so.1 and bin/shineenc to
/system/bin.
On my low-end HTC, however, encoding is not real-time, which is a bit
disappointing:

"Documents" doesn't sound good. A quick look at the patch seems to

Polycom voicemail menu and alarm as beep with light
Hello;
I am using vicidial which is using asterisk 1.8, mean while when the extension has voicemail, I always see the red light on the Polycom and hear the beep sound (toot toot) in period time. Also, I can see at the LCD an option to select it for accessing the voicemail ?but I am facing the following problems:

Memory leak on Icecast 2.3.2 / Debian ?
...with more details in private.
icecast2 (2.3.2-5) unstable; urgency=high
* Added patch to fix a memory leak.
Thanks to Gilles Pietri for reporting
and Jussi Kukkonen for providing a patch.
* Bumped standards version to 3.8.3
* Added doc-base registration.

A memory leak is not a security issue so the package in stable (lenny) has not
been modified. However, a backport has been prepared, see:
http://www.backports.org/

I have now.
It can format or whatever it needs to do to write my dvd-rws.
The last time I use it, it crapped out after writing,
but before finalizing.
How do I get it to finalize?
Also, how do I get it to stop tooting at me?
I thought that I had found the settings flag,
but apparently not.

Ogg skeletons with speex and vorbis..
...ation, I came to issue that
ogg speex and vorbis streams do not seem to work on icecast with a skeleton.
The symptoms are that data is sent, and icecast accepts it, but nothing can be
received by listeners, or even simply dumped.
You can find two test streams there:
http://www.rastageeks.org/~toots/icecast/
The issue can be reproduced with oggfwd for instance. So far, I couldn't spot
an issue in our generated ogg streams, with ogginfo, or the oggz tools.
