OpenSuse takes toooooo loooooong to start - wine-1.1.16
Hello everybody,
I have just installed Wine-1.1.16 and I have sadly seen that OpenSuse takes about 1 to 2 minutes to be ready after starting my session.
I can only think about Wine-1.1.16.
Any suggestion??

model seleciton by leave-one-out cross-validation

So does anybody know how to do linear model selection by leave-one-out
cross-validation? I've written one function, but it runs toooooo slow~~~

Nufone.net net wackiness?
I can't send mail to any addresses in nufone.net; they all get rejected
by a spam blocker.
And their website is gone, too!! The URL leads to a "parking site."
My accounts still seem to work, but I wonder WTH is going on?

Newbie going through a probably stupid thing

This might be toooooo stupid to be documented.
Please bear with me. Any help ?
Situation: single card standalone "firewall" (used like a "personal
firewall"). Have sshd running on the FW. Want the sshd daemon to be
accessible only from 2 LANs:
1) My other home LAN machine
2) IBM intranet machine...
