...crawls. I recall last year setting up a Linux server and seeing a huge slow down then too. That pretty much forced me to move to a Windows server. I know it's LAN related. Something in our Cisco switches must be the inhibitor but I don't know what. I'm taking one of these NAS's home tonite to test there. I expect to see normal speeds. Does anyone know of anything that could cause this from a switch/router IOS perspective? We do have ICMP limited through our WAN, would this be an inhibitor? That wouldn't explain the performance within a VLAN, though, since ICMP works in that VLAN....

Hi all, Have trouble encoding / playing back OGG using WinAmp + plugin. I encoded the files from .WAV with Ogg drop RC2. Seems to be ok. When I try and play them back though I get very very weird sound effects (some kind of "wobbling", some bass frequencies that are usually in the background seem to get more emphasised and they seem to have some kind of strange echo / reverb to it

This seems very strange to me, because I don''t have any problem to set higher resolution on a windows 7 domU, using the following parameters in the configuration file: stdvga=1 videoram=16 What could the problem be?
