Hello! Under wine - dosen't matter if I use the original Windows as guest windows or if I use a fake-windows - TMpeg can't find any installed codec. Even of I only want to convert a MPEG1 file (for example NTSC-VCD to Pal-VCD) it says "File "C:\...... can not open, or unsupported." Anyone who uses TMepg under Linux? Any ideas? Is anybody out there who has ever tried to install any kind of DV-Codec running wine to process dv/avi files generated by Kino/Cinelerra (like using TMPEG for compression) and is interested in sharing experiences? I'm just asking before posting to the list... On my side, TMPEG/VirtualDub work like a charme for most formats, but i can't get the lil' bastard to open dv-stuff. ...5, on Mandrake 10.0 Community 1. I have two programs previously installed under Windows that I have just made desktop icons for in Mandrake to run them under WINE. I did this as I am dual booting the system currently rather than install them under WINE. Both are for video editing/encoding. TMPEG Encoder and DVD Author. They load and run without error. However when I go to the dialogue box to browse for the AVI to load I can only see drive C and D. I have partitions labelled C through J.
