notepad.exe like so runinng wine notepad.exe should run the appli...
if you have a good internet you can get opencarpet for redhat 9
(www.opencarpet.org) and you get all rpms necessary to install and work with
wine :)

ReadWrite.xls problem
Dear community,
I have now taken my R-file from lectures and intend to use it at home, but
have a problem
reading the Data from the file. I have installed and loaded the Package
xlsReadWrite so far.
I have also "Changed directory".
This is what I have entered
daten=read.xls("Daten A2")
This is my Error-Message in its German original:
Fehler in .Call("ReadXls",

Considering you use mozilla-thunderbird 0.7. I suggest you try using the
spell check facility.
It might make your message understandable, and why run Tbird with Wine.?
