I have set up SAMBA on AIX 4.2 and can attach to NT shares and vice versa. I acquired and configured SAMBA for basically one reason, that being to gain WINS client capabilities for AIX. Right now it's not working as expected, though. I am implementing Tivoli, and Tivoli requires a bidirectional name to address resolution in order to register the managed node agent with the Framework. Trying to download the 3.1 iso's of CentOS and no matter which mirror I go to, or release 3 version, I always see the 3.6 iso's. Ady, This sounds interesting. I know PXE and related DHCP options somewhat well. But I don't recognize this. Typically, you add PXE-related options to your DHCP server. Either your main DHCP server, or a proxy DHCP server you stand up. To a lesser extent, some smarter TFTP servers (like Tivoli or Rembo) can parse vendor-encapsulated options.
