How to get print file name from samba?
Hello guys, Is there any way I can get the print file name from samba when I send a print job to a print share from MS windows? Is there any variable to do so? Is there any way to run programs before samba actually save the file? This is because I would like to run virus checker before actually saving files to samba. Thanks for help! Problem of generating file from samba print share
Hi all, I am using samba 2.2.1a-4 on RH linux 7.2. I created a print share to convert incoming print file to pdf file through a program called ps2pdf. I would like to generate the pdf file with filename same as the original print file name. I use the %s variable to get the name. Is that correct? I used to use this method with older RH package and it ran correctly. However when I upgrade it to use

samba 3.0.24 works - samba 3.0.25 fails
Folks: I've got several systems attached to a 2003 domain where we use kerberos to authenticate. When I upgraded a system to the latest greatest samba things stopped working. Just to find where it happened in the different versions of samba I downloaded, built, & ran 3.0.23d to 3.0.25c using the same smb.conf file. Turns out the 2.0.23d and 3.0.24 works but from 3.0.25 on it fails.

inter-timeseries correlation or corrections
...For an actual project I would like to use a function to apply the distribution characteristics of a short-time series on a modelled long-term time series which encloses the shorter one. Which functions/libraries can you suggest? Is there already a use case for this? Coda, Textwrangler, Writeroom, OS X
Hello Everyone, Has anyone installed Markdown for Coda, Writeroom, Textwrangler, or OS X? I'm really interested in using this more but I'm interested in finding the best way to use. Biggest win for me would be for it to work from within Writeroom. Textwrangler would be next, followed by OS X, and Coda would be almost useless. I did see that MacPorts has 2 different distros of markdown

can't delete recursive DNS entry
Due to a mistake I created a subdomain with the name of the domain itself. In my case the domain is briesebaer.intern and I created the subdomain briesebaer.intern. Using DNS RSAT Tool I see under briesebaer.intern the subdomain intern and then a recurrence of the whole domain. That means: under intern there is briesebaer and all of the dns query beneath. The query shows the Name=intern

MSDFS redirection WinXP SP2
I am currently having problems accesing our samba msdfs shares from Windows XP SP2, Windows 2000 and WinXP SP1 seem unaffected. I have attached the smb.conf and the exports files that define the shares. Running ethereal on the different clients seems to point to the fact that XP SP2 no longer seems to be using the netbios-ssn (139) port. for GET_DFS_REFERRAL instead its using microsoft-ds

can't delete recursive DNS entry
Dear Michael How have you created the subdomain? to look it up you have to exchange the @ with the name you want to see samba-tool dns query drago briesebaer.intern intern ALL and further down than: samba-tool dns query drago briesebaer.intern briesebaer.intern ALL Mani On 17.11.2020 07:36, Michael Thiemann via samba wrote: > Due to a mistake I created a subdomain with the name of the

cuesheets w/ PERFORMER & TITLE track info
Hi there, is there any specific reason for ignoring TITLE and PERFORMER info when importing CD-TEXT cuesheets into flac files? (These two fields have not always been used but they have become widely supported by now). One may answer that the preferred method for getting this kind of info for a cuesheet-flac would be CDDB, but CDDB info is not always reliable. In my opinion the goal "Now a CD

BeOS on PPC compile, thread question.

Couldn't you just compile the vorbis files as vanilla C, and then implement a thin C++ wrapper if you need to access it that way? There's nothing in BeOS which *requires* code to be C++. Sorry if I'm

No way to indent text?
How could one indent (not quote) a block of text? This is commonly done in Wikipedia with one or more colons at the beginning of the line, and is very handy for threaded discussions. An example is at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/MojoMojo&diff=next&oldid=275101911 -- Dan Dascalescu http://wiki.dandascalescu.com

Parallelism
Greetings. In looking through the mail archives, I don't see any mention of parallelism of the vorbis code (particularly the encoder). I was wondering if anyone was looking into this at all? Either with threads, and/or on some kind of parallel machine (e.g., a Beowulf cluster)? I see very little mention of threads in the source code, which leads me to believe that they are only there for

sash position problem
Hi, I''ve written a small app implementing SplitterWindow and have a problem with specifying the sash position on Windows. At the moment, I call split_vertically and pass it a positive integer for position. This works as expected on FreeBSD and Linux (Ubuntu and Debian), but seems to have no effect on Windows. Is there something particular I need to be doing to get this to work on

Optimisations
Looking through the archives I have seen talk of making CPU specific optimisations for Vorbis, a la MMX/3DNow!/SSE. The feeling I gather is to wait until something is working well in C before committing to any kind of specific optimisation. What if oft used and needed DSP functions were identified and standardised DSP functionality be written for Vorbis? This would seperate the basically
