AssertSelect for strings?
Hi, Is there a way to use the have_tag matcher on a string instead of the response body from a view? I have a helper in a method rails project that returns an html fragment which I would like to test. Like this: module SomeHelper def some_helper_method "<p>foo</p>" end end context "The SomeHelper" helper_name :some specify do

Fwd: Re: LSD multiple comparison test
I am returning this to the R-help list. Please keep followups on the list. Yes, it can be done. It is not currently easy because multcomp doesn't have the syntax yet. Making this easy is on Torsten's to-do list for the multcomp package. See the MMC.WoodEnergy example in the HH package. The current version on CRAN is HH_1.17. Please see the discussion of this example in R-help:

times 'til first change
There is probably an elegant and efficient way to do this -- perhaps already implemented, and some of you knows it. Myself, I'm getting stuck in long loops ... Here is the question: I have a long (80,000 + obs) binary time series. For each of its elements I'd like to compute and save in a vector "the number of steps 'til the first switch of state happens". For example,

LDA alias resolution problems..
I use postfix + dovecot LDA + mysql virtual users and up til friday, everything was working just fine. Dovecot is 2.0.beta6 (3156315704ef) Like I said, up til friday, when I added a vacation entry into postfix (which I have now removed to see if it was the reason) mails to the alias virusalert (which is aliased to me) went through just fine. Now I get these sort of errors from the LDA: Feb

20 seconds til voice transmission starts
Hello everybody, I'm experiencing a strange problem with my Asterisk. I hope you can help: Asterisk is running at my company behind NAT. Ports 5060 and 10000-20000 are being forwarded to it. I have put the router's external IP-address into externip in sip.conf. At home I'm using an AVM FritzBox Fon WLAN 7050 which is registered with the Asterisk at my company. When I try to call

We haven't had a lot of volunteers step up in this area though. I don't much like the idea of doing a release with so many buildbots down... Ciao, Duncan.

[LLVMdev] Release: Two Weeks 'Til 3.0 Branch
As of today, there are two weeks left until we branch for the 3.0 release. Please get your changes in as soon as possible so that they are well-tested before the branch. And please keep on top of any failures you see. Now would be a good time to look through the bugzilla database to see if there are any issues you can address. :-) -bw

Check if user is in right group
What is the best way of checking this? I have 3 tables: groups users group_members class GroupMember < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :group belongs_to :user validates_uniqueness_of :user_id, :scope => "group_id" Then I want a method here that checks if a given user is a member of a given group. What is the right way of doing that? def

Samba 2.2.5 is crap.
Unstable windozes (hangs all the time) Major bugs in the printing system, mount and smbmount commands. Samba 2.2.5 is completely usable if you ask me. Crap I would say and should never been released. I consider to change to Beeweb although it cost money. BTW how do u uninstall the dirt?? using ./uninstall ??? ===== Investigating the Norwegain 4.th Secret ServiceThe multiheaded

[PATCH libnbd] api: Synchronous connect waits til all connections are connected.
If not using multi-conn then obviously the synchronous connection calls ‘nbd_connect_unix’, ‘nbd_connect_tcp’ and ‘nbd_connect_command’ should only return when the (one) connection object is connected. In the multi-conn case it's not very clear what these synchronous calls should do. Previously I had it so that they would return as soon as at least one connection was connected. However this
