[PATCH 0/2] ocfs2: two bug fixes about xattr and inline-data
Mark and Joel,
I found two serious bugs about xattr and inline-data.
the first bug:
in ocfs2_mknod(), we check and found the ACL or security xattr entry
could be set into inode in ocfs2_calc_xattr_init(), then don't reserve
block for them. But in ocfs2_mknod_locked(), if we found ocfs2 support
inline-data, then set id_count with the max_inline_data. After that, we
set acl/security xattr

Question on Counting Factors
Hi,
I hope this is not too trivial, but I've had this recurring problem
and I think there is super easy solution, just not sure what it is.
Please see short example below. ?I would like to get the frequency
(counts) of all the variables in a single column (that is easy), but I
would also like to return the value 0 for the absence of variables
defined in another column.
For example:

[LLVMdev] LLVM on Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11
Hello,
I apologize if this has been covered before but has anyone
successfully built llvm on Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.11)? I upgraded to
Xcode 2.4.1 and got the binaries for the llvm-gcc frontend and the
source for llvm. I built llvm but realized that the frontend binaries
required libiconv version 7.0.0. but the version on Tiger is 5.0.0.
Trying to build the frontend from source gives me a bunch

[LLVMdev] LLVM on Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11
Looks like I was a little too ambitious in getting version LLVM-2.5 to
build on Mac OS X Tiger which uses gcc 4.0.1. LLVM -2.2 built fine.
I did get the LLVM-2.5 tree to build but it was the gcc front-end part
of it that failed. If anyone has built the both parts of version 2.5
on Tiger please let me know.
Thanks,
Bijoy.

TRUE
> func("Acacia",animal) #Acacia is not an item of the animal vector

Weird Samba upload performance on Gigabit network
Here's a weird one that may have nothing to do with Samba and more to
do with network frame sizes.
I have recently upgraded the network infrastructure to support
gigabit speeds.
- OSX Tiger to OSX Tiger file transfers operate at gigabit speeds.
- Samba 3.0.23C (Suse 10) to OSX Tiger file transfers operate at
gigabit speeds.
- BUT OSX Tiger to Samba 3.0.23C (Suse 10) file transfers

OpenSSH 2.9p1 on Solaris 7 error, 2 bugs
Hi.
I am running OpenSSH 2.9p1 on Solaris 7, and I believe that I have
identified a bug that has been annoying several of our faculty.
Our SSH server has 4 addresses:
Name: tiger.cs.yorku.ca
Addresses: 130.63.88.26, 130.63.90.26, 130.63.92.26, 130.63.86.26
If I do:
% ssh -X tiger
I am able to login to tiger, and run X applications.
However, the IP addresses cycle for tiger on name

Samba, OS X Tiger 10.4 plain text password, username null-padded?
Our samba server is running Solaris 9 and Samba 3.0.2.a . For reasons
*outside the scope of this question* we are using plaintext passwords
and authenticating via our NFS server. (I know this isn't a great
idea, but that's not the question)
With Panther, plaintext passwords worked fine. Snooping, I see the
plain text password and username go through.
With Tiger, we first had to apply

Fw: Mac OSX Tiger 10.4.2 SMB
Hi Guys,
Can anyone offer me any assistance at all with the query below.
Even perhaps if there is some "how to" somewhere to get Tiger pcs to join a domain.
I really need to get this problem solved, and I have searched and searched and haven't found anything yet.
Thanks!

Apache 1.3 OSX Tiger(intel) mod_fastcgi
Hi,
I''m new to RoR and am trying to get it up and running on my iMac Tiger
(intel).
I was able to get it working with the built in server and am now trying to
get it working with apache 1.3
I''m stuck on getting a universal binary for mod_fastcgi.so. or source code
to compile it myself.
Has anyone been able to get RoR to run successfully with this configuration?

Hi. I'm not having any luck installing the binary for the new

I get error messages as below.
Can anyone offer me some advice? (PS: I checked the bug list first
but a search on "Tiger" turned up nothing so I hope it's OK to post
here.)

Tiger team.
Hi,
I''m back. :-)
Alex and a few others have expressed concerns about the legal
implications of forming a tiger team. Maybe the term "tiger team"
doesn''t officially represent what we meant. But I don''t mind
redefining established terms if I feel like it :-)
What we here call a "tiger team" is a team of people that try to beat

fix mlog_errno in ocfs2_global_read_info
Hi, All,
When mount ocfs2 with option usrquota and grpquota, we will see below
message:
(mount.ocfs2,9434,1):ocfs2_global_read_info:403 ERROR: status = 24
(mount.ocfs2,9434,3):ocfs2_global_read_info:403 ERROR: status = 24
But actually this should not be a error.
In ocfs2_global_read_info, if read_quota() succeed, status is the size
of the struct ocfs2_global_disk_dqinfo, only when it is not

OS X 10.4.1 ( Tiger ) client borked
Appears Apple messed something up in 10.4,and 10.4.1.
Attempting to connect to a 3.0.14a server (debian unstable)
from an OS X client causes OS X Finder to hang, and puts
these errors in the samba server logs:

prs_mem_get: reading data of size 2 would overrun buffer.
