TigerJet 320G Chip / TDM400 Chipset / DAHDI Support
Hi, I'm curious what chip Digium is using in the latest TDM400 cards.
Specifically, to my recollection, they used to use the TigerJet 320G,
however somewhat recently, Tigerjet was bought out, and now the 320G is no
longer produced.
Maybe a better question is: is there a way I can take the latest DAHDI
source and get a list of supported chipsets from it?
Thanks.

Dell SC1430 + Digium TE110P = Digital Noise in PRI
Hi list,
I have a terrible noise issue with Dell SC1430 + Digium TE110P. The
digium card is not sharing interrupts with any other device, as I saw in
Dell's BIOS and also with "lspci -vb" command.
After changing coax wire, UTP, balum, digium card ... I have found that
the problem is in Dell box, so now I'm running the same Asterisk config
in other server with the same

Hi all, this is another post about this problem.
I installed from scratch a new Suse Linux 10.0, with latest stable

Moreover I add the lines to /etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev.rules, in order to
let the driver create the /dev/zap.......

usable/affordable usb phone?
...you can take it
on a trip to place VoIP calls from your laptop. Something that ties into
asterisk on linux and (more importantly to be honest) a softphone on XP
or even its own client.
Browsing the web I found that most places either sell them by the
truckload or with a service contract attached. TigerJet, Clarisys and
Quicknet phones were the only ones I could find with the latter not
getting the best grades on this list.
Is Digium planning to offer usb handsets in the future? Who has
experiences with either the TigerJet oder Clarisys design? Who knows
another manufacturer?

How does the PCI bus effect latency and echo?
Hello All,
I was wondering, how does the PCI bus effect echo and latency?
I know a large part of the echo issues out there have to do with the pci
bus latency, but are there any suggestions on the hardware side to
minimize this? For example, a 533mhz vs 800mhz fsb, would it have any
effect on communications? Even on a low load server, I am trying to
decide if getting a dell poweredge server is

Configuring modem pools in Asterisk [WAS: Connecting a Rolm CBX to Asterisk via T1?]
Okay, T1 card issue sorted out. New Lesson: Stay Away from TigerJet chips.
Next up, modem pool -- I wanted to know if the below config looked anywhere near half-sane for defining in asterisk what is essentially a small pool of four waiting modems that will handle faxes if another modem is busy:
exten => _X.,1,Dial(IAX2/iaxmodem0/${EXTEN})
exten => _X.,2,Bus...

#4) Finally how can I change which IRQ a board is using. As one
of the boards is using the same IRQ as one of my Zaptel clone cards
(Tigerjet chips according to PCISNIFFER).

This system has TWO FXO clone cards. One is working in AAH, the
other AMP does not see. Asterisk CLI flags one as "alarm" RED. and
does not report the IRQ of either board.

Dial to Answer -- Can this be done?
Let's suppose you have a PSTN line with multiple extensions. One of these
extensions is connected to an Asterisk FXO port. For reasons that I won't
go into, the "normal" configuration of the system is that when a call comes
in on the PSTN line, Asterisk *does not answer* -- the other extensions do
whatever they would do if there were no Asterisk system there.

"New" TDM cards--driver won't load
I've searched the site with google, but can't think of the magic words I
guess.
I got a "swap out" TDM30 today to replace my buzzy one.
I swapped it with the older one, swapped out the FXS modules, hooked it
up to the computer's power supply, and booted, but the wcfxs driver
won't load--it gives me the standard "Cannot init module" types of
errors that

US source for compatible ISDN cards?
...y
with. I've scoured ebay and found nothing so far. :(
If someone out there has a card or two and wants to sell it I'll happily
PayPal you the money plus shipping. I have an NT-1 here so S/T interface
is fine; all I require is that it be PCI since I don't have ISA slots.
I *do* have a TigerJet card here with a U interface, but the backend
chip is a Siemens IECQ instead of the ISAC so the i4l driver won't drive
it. I've been meaning to do the work necessary to get it working but
just haven't had the time.

Are my expectations too high?
I'm trying to use Asterisk with a TDM400P and 2 analog lines, but I'm
having a hard time getting the kind of audio quality that I'd like.
I'm hoping to be able to use SIP phones to make calls through Asterisk
and have the same quality as a regular analog phone connected to the
PSTN. Are my expectations too high? Is it that once I'm using
Asterisk as a gateway to the PSTN, I

Simple Dell Computers
Hello List,
I know this has been brought up many times but I
wanted to know if anyone had any expirience in the
following. I setting up several voice mail systems.
Each one is going to have a TDM400P. Two FXO for
people to leave messages and two FXS for POTS phones
so people can listen. Anyone know if there are any
simple specific dell models that will handle this
without a problem ?
Thanks.

Intel 537ep
Owias,
The 537 is, for the most part, a drop-in replacement for the Digium card. Please search the archive and the Wiki, as there have recently been several discussions about this exact subject.
To my knowledge that is about the only modem that works, but keep in mind it is _not_ supported. That being said, follow the instructions on Digium's site for installing the X100P and you should be
