create waveform sawtooth
...xunit="samples". Workaround is to use xunit="time" instead:
sawtooth(110,duration=1/100,samp.rate=sample_rate,xunit="time")
I looked at the code but found it to be opaque.

create waveform sawtooth
My tuneR sawtooth wave function generator is broken.
When I use the sine function, I get exactly what I expect: a sine wave whose frequency is defined by the freq parameter. In particular, higher frequencies have shorter wavelengths (more cycles per second means shorter waves). When I create a sawtooth wave, the opposite seems to occur: higher frequencies result in longer waves. But that?s not

I will be writing a follow-up that uses sound and seewave in the next

Problem in sshconnect.c?

If you want to try to ssh in to the box itself, it is www.cyboards.com.
It should give you the same error message as I am getting.
Any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

SORRY!
...lem I was having in

function... My fault: I didn't look hard enough in the archives.
Turns out that my problem was fixed by adding a line to my hosts.allow
file.
Again, I'm sorry I didn't research the archives long enough to find the
fix myself.

This goes back to the whole eWeek mis-quote of Michael Tiemann where
the whole world said Red Hat was "getting out of the desktop market."
In reality, I totally agree that it's really not of any interest to Red Hat
to keep trying to _sell_ a _product_ that is geared towards all the endless
uses of a consumer/custom desktop.
It's _cheaper_ an...

As is your choice. No one at Red Hat is forcing you to do so. Tiemann basically
said in not so few words that they don't want you as a consumer, only possibly
a user of Fedora Core if you wish.

Different sings for correlations in OLS and TSA
Dear list,
I am trying to re-analyse something. I do have two time series, one
of which (ts.mar) might help explaining the other (ts.anr). In the
original analysis, no-one seems to have cared about the data being
time-series and they just did OLS. This yielded a strong positive
correlation.
I want to know if this correlation is still as strong when the
autocorrelations are taken into account.

example: Samba + OpenLDAP on FreeBSD (4.7)
...l,
This message is simple instructions to install Samba + OpenLDAP on
FreeBSD (4.7). Hope it would help someone.
1. To keep ports update, better install cvsupit in the beginning
mis3# cd /usr/ports/net/cvsupit
mis3# make install clean
Reference: FreeBSD Unleashed (by Urban and Tiemann), p. 425
2. To use Samba + OpenLDAP with the option "ldap ssl = start_tls" in
smb.conf, install the three following packages in order:
mis3# cd /usr/ports/security/openssl
mis3# make install clean
mis3# cd /usr/ports/net/openldap2
mis3# make install clean

I have Red Hat Professional Workstation from both RHEL 2.1 and 3.
They renamed it (and added volume licenses) the Red Hat Desktop to
get the IT media to stop mis-quoting Tiemann that Red Hat _never_
left the desktop.

Has nothing to be with "being good." ;->
I just find that people have an intrinsic feeling that they must define
their choice in not only a like of their choice, but a dislike for another.
It's not only self-defeatin...

Again, check out your local CompUSA and look for the shrink wrapped
version of RHEL WS for $99. ;->
As Michael Tiemann said (and was mis-quoted), at the volume right now,
it is cheaper to give away their time in developing Fedora Core and not
charging for it than to make a boxed product like Red Hat Linux. The
expectations of support at the volume they sell is just not worth their
bother. It's cheaper to give...
