Hello, Is there a function for searching a string for a given character? For example, I have transcriptions like tsibi tSibi tibi kibi I want to search the character object for the presence of 's' or 'S' or 'k'. I thought perhaps pmatch(c("k", "S", "s"), x) would work for me, but it wants to compare from the start of the string and returns

The table has 5 columns: ID X Coordinate Y Coordinate Value Factor The conditions are that each site can be selected more than once and the probability of it being selected (or sampled) is proportional to a factor located in column 'Factor' I am novice in terms of R, and

Rtools is not available for the current version of R. What I'm looking for is an alternative package or how others have managed to create workarounds. error ellipse
Dear All, I have a data set with the following structure: [A], [a], [B], [b] where [A] and [B] are measurements and [a] and [b] are the associated uncertainties. I produce [B]/[A] vs. [A] plots in R and would like to show uncertainties as error ellipses (rather than error bars). Would this be relatively easy to do in R? I would appreciate any help on this Thanks a lot Tibi

nice log-log plots
Dear All, I am trying to produce log-log plots in R and I was wondering if any of you have a 'template' for generating these with 'nice' labels and log-log grids? I know I can set up axes individually and use the intervals I want, however, I will be producing a large number of these plots and would not like to do this manually for each of them + I am very new to R and at the

soekris hadware
Hi group, i'm brand new and i would like to ask about soekris hardware. I read along the web but i have some doubts that i think can be solved here. My question are the following: 1) does the Digium TDM400P fit in the soekris box with a 4801 SBC or a bigger box is needed? Any suggestions about where to pick up another box? 2) does the Digium TDM100P (already discontinued) fits fine in a

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-input-evdev 2.1.99.1
First snapshot for evdev 2.2. Lots of cleanup, and - most notably - general axis/button support. For those running an X server from master, evdev will label axes and buttons for you. shortlog is a bit longer than it actually is, it includes a number of patches that were cherry-picked onto 2.1 and have since been released. Cheers, Peter Shortlog since xf86-input-evdev-2.1.0: Adam Jackson
