The 3am UTC time seems unpopular, so for the time being we're going to
stick with 4pm UTC on a Thursday.

you're looking for support with issues or high level status updates
it's unlikely to be useful to you.
This may change as we settle in to a "rhythm" and depending on
people's changing availability, but we're currently alternating
between 3am UTC and 4pm UTC on Thursdays, with the next call 3am UTC
on Thursday 16th. Ana Pazos will be hosting this Thursday's call,
hangout/dial-in details to be confirmed.

Melbourne Asterisk Users meet next Thursday
...rn this
into a monthly get-together, so I'd like to talk about that too.
Anyone with an interest is welcome; from Asterisk Gods to newbies who
have recently downloaded it, from people administering several hundred
seats to people playing with it at home and annoying their families.
When: Next Thursday evening, the 17th, at 7pm.
Where: Niagara Hotel, 383 Lonsdale Street (between Queen and
Elizabeth) in the city.
The Niagara's a relaxed, comfortable place. I'm going to try and get

find us.
Any questions, you can r...

Authenticate against NT Domain Group Membership
Hola folks,
How do I configure a share under Samba 2.2 using DOMAIN security to allow
all members of a specified NT domain group access to a particular share?
For example, something like:
[test]
comment = Test Share
path = /mnt/share/test
nt group = Nice-users, Wonderful Users
Where Nice-users and Wonderful Users are NT domain groups? So if User X is
a member of Nice-users, she would be

Theora RoadMap Online Meeting - 13th March, Thursday? 14:00 UTC?
...ate from
14th to 13th per request Mike and derf's request. Original message as
follows:
So, we haven't hold one of those monthly meetings in ages. Monty
mentioned he would like to schedule a Theora-specific meeting to
establish a proper roadmap to get out of beta.
I'm suggesting this [Thursday], the [13th] of March. 14:00 UTC seems like a
good compromise for everyone. Feedback or suggestion for better
time/date welcome.
The place is #xiphmeet in freenode's IRC server. Everyone is welcome to join.

P.S: a USA time conversion to UTC table may be found here,

Browsing and Mapped Drives over a VPN
Hello All:
I have a situation where I have a Samba box (RH 7.3 w/samba 2.2.4) that I
set up for a client. Another consultant came along and installed a VPN
using SonicWalls between the main site and a remote site. So now they want
the remote users to save files on my Samba box. No problem except that the
remote users can't see my local workgroup or any of the local machines.

Melbourne Asterisk Group meeting Thursday
Hi all,
We're having a meeting this coming Thursday, June 1, 7:00 at Pint on
Punt (same as last time). Peter Fern has graciously volunteered to
lead a discussion on ENUM and DUNDi: What they are, how they work, and
how they work with Asterisk. Of course there will also be time to talk
about phones and what's new in the Asterisk community.
