AD migration+ Passwd
Hi All, We're migrating our environment to AD. The question we have is about the users in /etc/passwd. Our users are in the TDB and /etc/passwd. What is the best way to purge the users from /etc/passwd? If we remove them manually, the user info cannot be enumerated using getent passwd. Any suggestions/ Thanks, RT

Hi, We are having some issues with users trying to access NFS mounted shares via Samba. The issues are random and doesn't happen with all the folders/files within that share. The problematic ones have permission denied message in the Windows client. The files/folders in questions have permissions for the user/group and the backend is LDAP. I've read the Samba documentation which says using tdb in both servers will cause issues. So the question is how do we migrate from TDB to LDAP in the PDC. The setup we are going for is each DC will have LDAP setup. The LDAP servers will then be replicated. Reading the official
