FlasKMPEG 0.60 actually works
I tried FlasKMPEG 0.60 yesterday and it actually works pretty well. I had to remove the file null.mism.flask as it caused wine to crash (haven't figured out why). It does not seem to be important. I could start flaskmpeg.exe, select vob files, select codecs, everything actually. I also could flask the vob file and it worked fine (only tried uncompressed sound). One problem did arise, though.

please help on frag polynoms
hi there, can anyone help me on the topic of frag polynoms? i just heard of a friend of mine, that i could build in a functioon called fragpoly (he was talking of such a function in the 'stata' language) in order to improve my process of finding an optimal linear model. instead of trying a vast amount of transformed inputdata to find the best fit and then step backwards down to e.g.

on demand server
Hello, I am trying to set up a stream server for audio archives. I've just tried Icecast2 / Ices, and it is really good stuff, but I cannot yet get what I want : streaming on demand. I would like the user to just "click and stream" on the web page (and not listen to a stream that is already running). I don't know if it is possible with Icecast/Ices. Any suggestions would be

replacing a w2k machine with samba 2.2.7a
Hi. First, i would like to thank samba developers for producing such a good product. Second, i have a few questions/remarks : I have recently replaced a w2k file server running in w2k domain (native mode) with samba 2.2.7a on RH 7.3 with the latest kernel, no acl, configured winbind, and ran into the problem described here :

[RFC][ARM] Add support for embedded position-independent code (ROPI/RWPI)
Hi, We currently have a downstream patch (attached) which implements some new addressing modes that enable position-independent code for small embedded systems. Is this something that would be accepted upstream? I think the ARM backend changes are fairly uncontroversial, but the clang changes introduce a lot of ROPI/RWPI specific changes in otherwise target-independent code. If the clang changes

[LLVMdev] llvm license/GPL
Hello, I am trying to understand the licenses around LLVM ecosystem as described in: http://llvm.org/docs/DeveloperPolicy.html#copyright-license-patents I couldn't figure out if I can write a compiler using the OCaML bindings and redistribute it as GPL. It seems like I can, due to the antivirality of UIUC. It would be also good if the Kaleidoskope example came with using terms, hopefully in

form helpers with non-ActiveRecord objects
I have an ActiveRecord model (called Festival) that contains an array of "FestDate" objects serialized into a sql text column of the Festival object. (like the Agile book first edition describes on p. 205) The FestDate objects themselvs are not ActiveRecord objects. (of course, otherwise they would be in their own table...) When working with a Festival, I would like to use various

Icecast isn't really designed for this. You could mount each file you want to host at a separate location and use individual ices instances

how to generate pairwise plots with data frames - tia
...ts, so I'd really like to figure out how to automate this. I've tried getting the names of the data frame and using those, i.e.: myNames<-names(test) plot(test$myNames[1], test$myNames[2]) but that doesn't work either as the myNames members are strings, not the variables themselves (I believe). is it possible to get a listing of the variables themselve, not the names and work off of those? thanks to anyone who can help shed some light on this, Peter Waltman

Info
Hi, I've got a wee question. I log on to system A and there I'll load my .profile. From there I start an ssh session to system B and there I would like to have the same .profile as on system A. Is there a way I can use ssh for that ?? The reason I'm asking this is that on system B its a functional unix account and not everyone wants to have the same .profile. I cant use automount

Submitting form using link_to
I''ve got a form with a paginator and I''d like to save the contents of the form whenever the user moves to a different page. Since the form contents aren''t submitted when a link is clicked, I thought I''d just change the action of the form to the URL of the paginator link and then submit the form using form.submit(). The form submits but I keep getting a 404

fstab based shared user mounts not possible
Hi! I first reported this issue as http://bugs.gentoo.org/136272 Mounting windows shares as a normal user causes quite a lot of trouble for me, using samba 3.0.22. I have this entry in my /etc/fstab: > //workstation/share /mnt/mountpoint smbfs \ > user,noauto,username=un,password=pwd,uid=un,gid=users,\ > fmask=660,dmask=770,codepage=850 0 0 With a root owned mount point I

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to read OpenSSH's log files (to assist our people in diagnosing "why is it always asking me for passwords"). All clients and servers are 3.0p1. Increased memory requirements on 1.2
I just recently upgraded a rails app of mine to run on edge (and the 1-2-pre-release branch) and I noticed my fcgis required roughly 6-8MBs more memory after just a couple requests. For example, each fcgi on edge would start around 40MB and rise to ~46MBs after a couple requests. I downgraded my app back to 1.1.6 and each fcgi would start at around 33MBs and rise to ~38MB. As a result of the

RFC: Import of Integer Set Library into LLVM source tree
Dear community, for our goal to make polyhedral optimization available in the main LLVM source, we will need the Integer Set Library (isl)[1]. It is the main dependency of Polly, but would be required even if we do not directly import Polly. I already prepared a patch [2], unfortunately without feedback on the general approach. As Philip suggested in the review, I am reaching out with an RFC
