Dear list, I am trying to do a benchmark study for my case study. It is a regression problem. Among other models I use randomForest. Using the following code the result is around 0.628, and this make sense comparing with other methods. The Theil function implements Theil's U statistic. I do not present the definition of some variables because it is not important to understand my problem.

I came across the package 'ineq' that computes a variety of inequality measures (e.g. gini, theil etc). I want to compute the Theil index (racial segregation) and decompose the total into sub-components (by geog levels). I think the package doesn't report the decomposition (correct me if I'm wrong). Just wonder is that available elsewhere? K.

Is there a way to make it appear like a regression fit instead of a line that extends from the edges of the plot? I have setup a samba pdc for my domain and it's working fine. The users also get a network share as I would like. But when I go to the network neighborhood, I see both the users home directory but also a "Homes" share. As far as I can see, the content is the same, but I don't like that way to do it.
