not enough disk space
...ace, but it reports it wrong: / is reported as having ~680mb free /mnt/max40 is reported as having ~2.7gb free normally I would include any error messages, except, there are none. The program will run fine, then complain about not having free space, then exit. wine version 0.9.19 with http://www.thehandofagony.com/alex/wine/patches/wow-patch-0.9.18.diff patch to play world of warcraft. (yes the patch file name 'wow-patch-0.9.18.diff' is correct) kernel version 2.6.17.11 on debian testing any help would be appreciated.

Disabling hal support
Is there a registry key or similar to disable HAL support? I believe I have the latest version of HAL (0.5.7), yet I have trouble running Warcraft III, due to the copy protection. If I have a symlink 'd: > /mnt/cdrom', wine creates 'e: > /mnt/cdrom' and 'e:: > /dev/hdc', and if I have 'd: > /mnt/cdrom' and 'd:: > /dev/hdc', Wine deletes

SDL.DLL
I tried a game which used SDL but did not have a linux port with WINE. SDL.DLL has a problem with the mouse, otherwise seems to work correctly. Anyways , since SDL is open software, I think wine could come with a built-in SDL.dll.so that could use the real SDL for the current OS or maybe allow it for an extra download. Many games could be instantly ported by that. -------------- next part

Notepad - resizing
I use the included Notepad a lot. WINE used to save where I had re-sized and placed it, but now it does not. How do I save my re-size? Thank you.

Empty text-boxes in various programs. Tried recompiling with FontForge..
Does anybody know of a fix for missing font/text problems with Wine? I've read of many people having the problem, but no cure other than the suggestion of packaging problems and that one should compile from source with FontForge support. I have compiled from source with FontForge support but the problem is still here. I am using Fedora Core 5 on x86. You can see the problem here:

Anyone with English version of Windows?
Hello all, I'm working on a small patch for Wine, but the output needs to match native Windows, and I only have a Norwegian version of it. Could anyone with an English version of Windows 2000/XP/Vista run the following program and send me the results? It will display four messageboxes with a short word in the caption and a longer one in the box body. The zip file contains a compiled

Sound problems with C&C 3 Tiberium Wars
Hello, I maintain Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars in the AppDB. While the sound seems to work fine for many users (including me), some are reporting extreme slowness if sound is enabled. At least one of those with problems is using an Intel 82801 chip. I've tested that on 2.6.16 and 2.6.22 kernels and no matter what I do the sound plays fine, even with HPET and RTC disabled.

Wine does not start apps when connected to a Windows network
Hi, I'm having this weird problem with all computers I have tried, but they all run Gentoo so it may still be a configuration problem. What happens is that all apps run through Wine work fine on my computer, but if I start another computer in the network in Windows, I am not able to start most applications with Wine; or rather, they hang foverer instead of starting. This happens to

Native mciavi32.dll
Greetings, Currently, Worms 2, and many other games that use Microsoft AVI for films, fail to play these because of Wine's implementation of mciavi32.dll. If I try to use the native version of this file, Wine gives the following. wine: Call from 0x73629dd0 to unimplemented function KERNEL32.dll.IsWow64Process, aborting Is this a type of function that it will make no sense to implement

List of DirectPlay games
Greetings, I have set up a page on the Wine Wiki with a list of the DirectPlay games I know of. This will be very helpful for anyone wanting to implement DirectPlay, so if you know of a DirectPlay game you want to see working with multiplayer, go ahead and add it! http://wiki.winehq.org/DirectPlayGames Regards, Alexander N.
