Enumerable
Hi and sorry if this has already been discussed. I''m new on theese
lists, and I couldn''t find a way to search through them.
I have been looking at the sources of script.aculo.us and I''m rather
impressed by the Enumerable class. What I don''t get is why you choose
to extend Array.prototype with this addon. It seems like a rather

Asterisk t38modem Fax gateway evaluation

Is it possible to decouple the internal Fax communication from ISDN
using t38modem or as an alternative "Fax For Asterisk", perhaps in
conjunction with HylaFAX?
I was unable to find any current information about theese subjects on
the www. Most postings/articles are 4-6 years old and state that it's
impossible, but this was way before t38modem and "Fax for Asterisk". I
would be really grateful if anybody could come up with some current
information, howtows, etc.
Many thanks in advance

Re: Virsh snapshots
...I
use qcow2 format, and create new disk image using original disk image as
backing file. But still I am not able to assign state of vm with new disk.
I have found some commands for creating snapshots in libvirt API, so in
my opinion one way how to accomplish my task is to create utility using
theese commands, and create snapshot of vm in RAM - I hope it would be
faster.
But I wonder whether virsh contains similar functionality, so I won't
need to programm it again.

Questing regardning dialplans on a Cisco 5350
...in the cisco I have this:
dial-peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern [0-9]T
no digit-strip
direct-inward-dial
port 3/0:D
!
dial-peer voice 50 voip
destination-pattern [0-9]
voice-class codec 1
session protocol sipv2
session target sip-server
no vad
dtmf-relay rtp-nte
!
-------
But theese to dialplans seem to interrupt each other.
When an incoming call from PSTN goes through this the pattern can be
matched by the first, and then be routed ot on the PSTN again, creating
a loop.
How do I do this in the smartest and easiest way ?

Call inband progress indication and zaphfc
...ne with
some vocal indication without answer the line. (Indications like "The
customer is not reachable" or "wait because the customer is on the phone"
ecc..)
For asterisk this condition is a normal dial tone and the message from the
telco and it's not possible to listen theese indications.
As I'm using zaphfc and with X100p and a normal analog line I can listen these
indications, my question is Have you tryed with PRI cards? as I don't know if
this is an issue of asterisk, zaphfc or my configuration.
Thank you in advance

compile error with postgres and voicemail
Hello,
I'm using asterisk-1.0.9 and wanted to compile it with database support in
voicemail (postgres).
I made the following changes in the /apps/Makefile:
USE_MYSQL_VM_INTERFACE=0
USE_POSTGRES_VM_INTERFACE=1
Without theese changes asterisk compiles perfectly, but after setting the
postgres variable on 1 (that's what I have to do or not?), asterisk
terminates with the following compile error after make:

Quota handling on NFS Maildir
...oved aren't always counted as removed - as a result some
users quota keep growing until they reach a limit and e-mails start
getting rejected.
I have been doing some testing and it appears that the updating of the
file maildirsize is sometimes delayed.
I figure this is because Dovecot collects theese changes in the
transactions or index file and then once in a while writes them to
maildirsize.
Could there be a week spot in the code somewhere that allow for this kind
of error when the use of POP3 and IMAP are mixed (I think this happens
even when POP3 and IMAP access aren't concurrent)?

Security and SIP
I've now setup SIP for:

- registering with external providers (like FWD) for making calls
- receiving calls from theese providers
For the latter step, it was necessary to forward ports from my NAT

I was just wondering about how to make this setup as secure as
possible. Here's what I've done so far:
