Removing share from smb.conf
Hello,
I notice if I simply comment out a share or remove entirely. I

removing a share?

ISDN BRI active adapters with NT mode - any alternatives ?
Having ISDN FXOs and a bunch of ISDN DECT base stations, I went looking
for a CAPI compatible active BRI adapter capable of NT mode. I have
found that the 'Eicon Diva Server 4BRI' fulfills theses requirements.
However, at EUR 1387 for four BRI interfaces, it does not come cheap.
Are there other users of similar hardware that can point me to
alternatives ?

Hi all,
I am back with a new question !

period.
Now, I want to do some barplot of the frequency of theses events for each
place, so it should be easy. My problem is that I want to see the
frequencies of the 4 events on my barplots even if the frequency of some of
them is 0.
How could I do that ?
Thanking you in advance for your help !

nfs shared and ferret segfault
...web server is Mongrel 0.3.13.3
and mongrel_cluster 0.2.0. There are 20 Mongrel processes on each
server.
Each time my application update a model, Mongrel process
stops running with this errro in its log:
/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/ferret-0.10.4/lib/ferret/index.rb:663:
[BUG] Segmentation fault
Theses servers are serving a lot of requests. Is it good to have
shared NFS index ? Is there a lock problem ?
This is very urgent. 10000 thanks for any help.

kernel and netfilter patches already in Redhat AS 4 for IPSEC
I read LinuxFest NW 2005 Presentation pdf. On page 32, mentioned it
required patches on kernel 2.6.x and netfilter and It only said that
SuSE 9.2 and 9.3 had patches on it''s stock kernel. I''m using Redhat AS
4. Anybody knows does the stock kernel and netfilter had theses
patches patched ? or How should I know the kernel and netfilter had
these patches applied ?
thanks!

...ect I have a file with 120 columns and ~2000 lines. This
file contains timestamps of spike detected in 60 channels, and the time
elapsed between the last spike.
I need to clean too high values. About 98% of values are between 0 and 2000
and 2% are between 2000 and 20'000. I want to get rid of theses values.
Please could you help me?

Q: Suggestions for long-term data/program storage policy?
Dear list,
we are a statistical/epidemiological departement that - after a few
years of rapid growth - finally is getting around to formulate a
general data storage and retention policy - mainly to ensure that we
can reproduce results from published papers/theses easier in the
future, but also with the hope that we get more synergy between
related projects.
We have formulated what we feel is a reasonable draft, requiring
basically that the raw data, all programs to create derived data
sets, and the analysis programs are stored and documented in a...

List of magic wins numbers
Hi,
I am looking for a list of theses special magic numbers that a samba
server (or a windows box) registers with at a wins server.
I already know of <00> as a ordinary name, <1b> as a domain. But what's
the rest? Is there a list anywhere? Perhaps somewhere in the docs? I
have searched them but haven't found an...

Round Robin trafic shapping
...between Vmax and Vmin. I want to share the
actual bandwidth (you don''t not how much, you only know the speed is between
Vmax and Vmin) for N clients. The bandwidth should be shared so nobody can
get more bandwidth than the others.
There is some queue disciplines like esfq and WRR. But theses ones only work
if you know the actual bandwidth. HTB works only width fixed bandwidth too.
I have studied all shaping and queue disciplines in linux, and I don''t have
a real solution yet.
Do you have any idea?

So - is anyone using this file/class?
Is anyone planning on using it in the future?
Should I just delete it?

[LLVMdev] Using LLVM to convert a language to another language
...d my "shading language" I must create 3 new "source code" in OpenCL.
It mean that by example for the following :
shader matte(float Kd, color c)
{
Ci = diffuse(Kd * c);
}
I have to create 3 methods in OpenCL, by example
1 - matte_sampling
2 - matte_pdf
3 - matte_f
Each of theses method is in OpenCL (It is like C too).
So, I would like to use LLVM to create an optimized version of my shader code. But once I have the LLVM byte code... how can I parse it "easily" to create my shader code ?
NB: also, you can tell me if it is really a good idea !
Thanks

Mitel only supported VMware virtualization platform for some CentOS servers based products
Hi,
Some Mitel products, which are CentOS 6.x or 7.x servers based with some
telephony services added, are only supported on VMware virtualisation
platform, even all if theses CentOS guests are certified on last
CentOS/Redhat Virtualization or Microsoft Hyper V platforms.
So, at he moment we have three bad choises :
- Migrate part of our virtualization services from KVM/libvirt to VMware ;
- Install Mitel concerned product on a physical server ;
- Stay on KVM/libvirt...
