Listening outside ipfw / program interface to ipfw
Hi, Two quick questions that I can't seem to find answers for using google. 1) is is possible to listen outside an ipfw firewall - that is have ethereal record the packets before ipfw starts dropping them? If so how? 2) Is there an api to ipfw that will let me manipulate rules, query stats etc? I need something faster than running the command line binary? Thanks John

newbie needs help using R as solver
...solve this simple task: a+b =< 500000 c+d =< 500000 g >= 0,25*c+d a+b+c+d+g =< 1000000 a, b, c, d, g => 0 I would very much appreciate any help in this matter. I need to locate the appropriate function for the task and figure out how to write this formulas. I'd also be very thankfull for any help (links) to simple examples of decision trees and/or simulation. Andrej Udu??

calculating the mean of a random matrix (by row) and some general questions
...ke to ask you for some general advice. How do you work with R? Is it like in matlab, that you write your functions with a lot of loops etc. in a textfile and then run it? Or do you just prepare your data and then use the functions provided by R (plot, mean etc) to get some analysis? I'd be very thankfull for some of your thoughts about "approaches". Now the question: I'm trying to build a vector with n entries, each consisting of the mean of m random numbers (exponential distributed for example). My approach was to construct a nxm random matrix and then to somehow take the mean of ea...

[LLVMdev] LLVM IR generation as one of LLVM passes
...sses and lowercase letters are data consumed and produced by each pass respectlively) A: file->b B: b->c C: b->d I1: c -> IR I2: d -> IR ... (other LLVM passes) and now I could enable passes: A,B and I1 or A,C and I2 (both of them generate IR code but differently). I would be very thankfull if something like that could be done in LLVM and if yes, any further materials will be very appreciated :) Thank you! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Problems with the Speex Jitter Buffer
...vers one tick entirely) - A thread which plays my Audio calls every 20msec the function GetSound() As I said before the buffer just returns more or less the halve of the packets. But all the packets are added to the JitterBuffer. I posted some of the code i use in my email and i would be really thankfull if anybody could tell me where i am using the JitterBuffer wrong. Many thanks in advance David Feurle Init() { m_JitterBuffer = jitter_buffer_init(m_Ticks); jitter_buffer_reset(m_JitterBuffer); } Exit() { jitter_buffer_destroy(m_JitterBuffer); } void BeatJitterBuffer::AddPack...

Multilevel in R
...eta are level 1 variables z1.lon, z2.lat are level 2 variables. but during third iteration it stop because there is a singular matrix in solve. I stopped it after two iterations, however the results are not correct. How can I fit this data? Are there other functions that I can use? I would be thankfull for all the insights. multivariate Stochastic Volatility and GARCH
...any succes. The only code I found is from Yu and Meyer (2006) using BUGS -which I don't want to use- for making estimation and inference using Gibbs-Sampling. So the reason for me mailing you is that I`m searching for codes considering estimation of DCC or/and DC using matlab. I would also be thankfull for one-step methods like Gibbs. I hope my mailing was more or less undestandable and that any of you may be able to help me. Thanks a lot in advance!!!!! Dennis Tuerk [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Might it be possible that the old version of the anti virus software could "cause" this problem? I'm very thankfull for any kind of help! Kind regards Annette [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
