Adding R's texmf to tetex's texmf
...I didn't need to put Sweave.sty in
folder with a report:
cd /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex
mkdir R
cd R
ln -s /usr/lib/R/share/texmf/Sweave.sty
# This two are not really needed but to do everything
ln -s /usr/lib/R/share/texmf/Rd.sty
ln -s /usr/lib/R/share/texmf/upquote.sty
# Rebuild TeX database
texhash
Could this be added in postinstall script for debian package?
I am not sure if this is also OK/enough for pdflatex or any other
"TeX" tools.
Any comments?

Problem with R CMD check and the inconsolata font business.
..."loadable".
Can anyone tell me what the <expletive deleted> I should ***do***
about this? I managed to install the "inconsolata" package from CTAN.
At least I think I managed; I downloaded the *.zip file and then unzipped
it in /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex. And ran "texhash". This stopped R CMD
check from complaining that the "inconsolata" package could not be found,
but then led to the further complaint described above.
So how do I make the required font "loadable"? What files do I need?
Where do I get them? And where should I put them on...

Sweave and kile
Dear R-users,
I want to give a try to Sweave and Latex but I am having some problems
compiling my .Rnw files within Kile. I have followed the recommendations
given in http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/e5/help/08/10/4277, but they do
not seem to address my particular problem.
I am using R 2.11.0 and Kile v 2.0.83 on an OpenSUSE11.2 installation (KDE
4.3 environment). According to the log (see

error in building R-1.9.0 sources under Win32
I am trying to compile the R-dev sources on WinXP using mingw 3.1.0-1
and fpTeX 0.7. In the past I
have been able to build the sources fine but now I receive an error in
the process that I havent seen reported on the list before. Everything
works fine until I get to 'make docs'. I now get the message below while
building the R-admin manual (refman.pdf builds fine) and the make

How to set symbolic link correctly so that LaTeX finds Sweave?
Hi,
I recently switched from Mac OS X (after 7 years) to Xubuntu 12.04 and I am
quite happy with it so far. I first installed R from source but I was somehow
missing certain things and I thus decided (after a new Xubuntu installation
which I had to make due to other reasons) to install R the "Ubuntu way":
,----[ R installation: ]
| 1) sudo emacs /etc/apt/sources.list
| 2) add:
