Automounted home dirs not working
I'm testing Dovecot as a possible replacement for UW. In my environment the home directories are automounted via NFS from a NetApp. In general this works fine, but Dovecot isn't picking up the automounted directories. Consider the case of Arthur Dent, test user: May 12 10:30:24 testbed dovecot: [ID 107833 mail.info] imap-login: Login: user=<adent>, method=PLAIN, rip=xxx.xxx.xxx.242, lip=xxx.xxx.xxx.242, secured May 12 10:30:24 testbed dovecot: [ID 107833 mail.error] IMAP(adent): mkdir_parents(/home/adent/Mail) failed: No such file or directory May 12 10:30:24 testbed d...

Asterisk testbed for teaching connecting to a PRI-ISDN
Hi, I would like to realize a voip testbed that should simulate the scenario in which two companies have an asterisk PBX connected through a PRI-ISDN to the Telco operator. I have no experience of T1/E1 connection but I think that the above could be relized with 3 asterisk boxes equipped with Digium TE405P cards. One of the box will repre...

Miredo server for Centos 6
...s 6. Not in EPEL 6, or repoforge. So far the maintainer of Miredo for Fedora/EPEL has not reponded to a query on its status for EPEL 6. I have to ask on repoforge about miredo-server. Anyone know of anywhere else to look? I suppose I can bring up a Fedora 20 box, as this is 'just' a testbed. But to move the testbed out of my network into the corp testbed, I need it for Centos. thanks

help with functions
Hi all, I have got 2 function (see bellow) which are simplifications of what I need to do. These functions are precisely the same, except for the last line. My question is, why doesn't function testA work in the same way as function testB. Both functions produce two objects, "a" and "b" that must merged with rbind. The difference is that in testA, I specify the name of the objects while in testA I am stating which objects I want to bind from a character vector. What's more, if I just run the code without...

Mail Question
Hello everyone, Im having a issue that I just cant seem to figure out. We currently are running an email server Centos 5.6 Postfix/Dovecot with a squirrelmail frontend. I was setting up a testbed to do a migration to SoGo using LDAP/MYSQL/POSTFIX/Dovecot. I have everything up and functional but one thing is giving me an issue. The testbed box will not handle a users mailbox over 2gb. We are using mbox on the existing server with no issues at all. I have multiple users with inboxes over 2g...

mode & mask
dear all trivial kind of question for which I do apologize, but it's sort of puzzling in a share when a windows client creates something samba sets it as 755, yet another user can still delete, in this case a folder which part of configuration fixes it so it would behave as expected? what I have by default is: acl check permissions = Yes acl group control = No acl

IPSEC vs OpenVPN
...in release 2.2.0, I am still of the opinion that unless you absolutely need IPSEC compatibility that OpenVPN is a much easier (and in the case of roadwarriors, a much better) solution. Having already generated all of the required X.509 certificates, it took me less than 1/2 hr to replace my IPSEC testbed with an OpenVPN one using the new tls-server and tls-client facility. That facility makes setting up a roadwarrior configuration a breeze. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool Shoreline, \ http://shorewall.net Washington USA \ teastep@shorewall.net...

Small file performance
...re experiencing painfully slow performance when transferring many small files via Samba. We are currently running Samba 4.5.1, although based on my searches the version doesn't seem to make any difference and this is a long standing problem. The servers, both the primary file server and the testbed, have dual bonded 10Gb NICs and the client network is 1Gb. Using a test directory of about 6,700 files, totalling about 200MB, the speed starts off almost reasonable but quickly slows down, ending up at around 3.5MB per second, in either direction. Testing from both Windows and Linux clients...

[LLVMdev] libcang python bindings and working with macros question
How do I obtain the data that a macro points to, both expanded and unexpanded. in example I have a file named "blah.c" with the following. """ #define TESTA 1 #define TESTB 2 + TESTA """ I modified util.py's get_cursor to look at the displayname also, as spelling won't match the macroname. Which mysql for a new project?
...tart a new RoR project. Which version of mysql is the current best one to use? I will be using the soon-to-be-released RoR 1.0 for the project. I really don''t want to start a PostreSQL vs. MySQL vs. Whatever war. I have all databases including Oracle at my disposal. This project will be my testbed for using RoR with mysql. I will be doing other tests with other dbs later. Thanks for any input! -Eric

We are running SLES 10.2 and Gentoo on these blades. Can anyone please tell me which Pv_ops kernel should I use for setting up XEN 3.2 on po...
