release priorities
...ased as alpha 3 to get the new bitstream changes out for wider testing while we work on spec and implementations of the extensions. The remaining issue is the broken buffering in splayer. I'll take care of that today. VP3 transcoder will remain experimental (and not ship with the release). Tenative goals for alpha 4 would be reference decoder support for the bitstream extensions and a draft spec. Slightly higher priority is a libogg 1.1.1 bugfix release. The gating item here is monty's fix for http://bugs.xiph.org/show_bug.cgi?id=464 Hopefully that will happen in the next couple of da...

Please vote for your favorite Wine-1.0 bugs...
The 1.0 release of Wine is tenatively scheduled for the 15th anniversary of the project (roughly 1 June 2008, if you take Dan Dulitz' message as the start of the project, http://groups.google.com/group/comp.os.linux/msg/7f92abdf494ab8b3 ) Over the last six or so months, the wine developers have identified 180 or so bugs as possi...

Using RoR to produce .xhtml files
How can I manipulate RoR to produce an .xhtml file from the view template(s)? I see how I can use layouts and paritals to efficiently produce the content and tags that I need, but how can I get the actual file that''s produced to be named with the .xhtml suffix, (rather than *.htm, as it currently is)? [Note: I never thought the suffix was all that important, but evidenly Mozilla

Educational App Problem (4nec2x): Fail When 3d Window Closed
I've looked at the faq page, searched through the forum (users), looked around appdb and did a tenative look in the bugzilla and can't seem to find my problem so here goes: When using my antenna analysis app, 4nec2x (free and easy to find), Wine performs like a champ in all respects save one. If I open the 3d window (by pushing F9), the performance is as is to be expected unless you close the 3...

How to register on trac.xiph.org?
Hi there, I just wanted to submit a patch for libao on http/::trac.xiph.org. The page tells me: "If you would like to report a bug or request a feature, please add a ticket." with a link. When I follow that link, it asks me for a username & password. Same for the "login" button, of course. However, I have not been able to figure our where and how I would go

test stream update
Don't have too much to report, but I talked to Michael Smith about things on IRC this evening and we made some progress in compromising our visions. On the static and stream identification metadata there was a tenative decision to go with RDF, but in such as way that a limited player could choose not to support it and still be able to play the a/v data. Robert mentioned trying to work his Trackinfo DTD into a set of attributes, but I haven't heard if he's gotten to it. Again, I would push to unify music,...

DO NOT REPLY [Bug 5644] New: Option to recheck basis dirs for existing dest files
...mba.org ReportedBy: matt@mattmccutchen.net QAContact: rsync-qa@samba.org Currently, rsync does not check basis dirs for existing destination files. As the man page description of --link-dest puts it, existing destination files are "definitive". I would like an option, tenatively named --recheck-basis-dirs, to make them non-definitive. Specifically, with this option: - An existing destination file that matches a --compare-dest file would be deleted regardless of --delete. (Deletion without --delete might seem surprising, but the goal is to leave the destination in the...

How can we improve WNE?
Hello everybody. I'm a (quite) happy WINE user, but i would like to propose some things to the WINE developers. Something important imo, is that it must be easy to use for the user, and some things could be better, here are some ideas to improve it by using Winecfg: 1. Add an option to disable/enable/edit debug channels for all programs. As you may know, a lot of programs runs faster
