Registering scripts using WINE
Hi all, I am trying to install Caseware Working Papers 2008 (a standard audit program used by auditors to create financial statements) on Ubuntu Netbook 10.4 using WINE. The program itself has been installed successfully. In order to make full use of the program, templets also have to be installed using their own extraction (*.cwp). These templets install using scripts that is registered in the regedit.exe (i think). I have tried to install these templets, and they do install 95%, but then bomb trying to register these scripts. The reason I know it is the scripts i...

Winbind backend : rid is too much underappreciated
ah, ok, yes that was it.. ;-) so for my understanding. we use AD backend if we also want to use the RFC2307 extention (with winbind and schema_mode rfc2307) and we can use RID if we want the windows user id with winbind. and for RID we can use the server templete settings and for AD can can set this per user seen the the Unix Attibutes tab in the windows tool correct? (I still done understand the main difference between AD and RID.) i just did read both man's but that does not make it more clear for me. Greetz, Louis >-----Oorspronkelijk...

templating, overide replace etc
Hello, the file type has some good stuff with replace and source : - replace : does it work when we put a content from a template ? i mean can i say source => template(xxx), replace => false so that if it does not exist it get created but if it exist the templete is not used - replace: while i am at it, could we have alias to false/true by yes/no it would be more readable and intuitive replace => yes / replace => true :) - source : if you put multiple source it take the first on available this allow great simplicity to setup override, does temp...

where to get vorbis files with all configuration the spec support
...mats (Ex. floor1, residue 1 & 2, VQ lookup type0 & 1). I downloaded several freeware vorbis encoder but they all support only quality, bit-rate or other user-level setting without the detail spec. setting. I checked the vorbis released encoder source-code, it also provides some kinds of templete, not all the spec. support configurations. Could anyone know where I can get such files or encoder to generate all kinds of vorbis file that the spec. supports. Thanks. What I *want* is to be able to have 3 methods that could be invoked as follows: Method 1: myFunction(filename, dimLengths, dimSteps, dimStarts) Method 2: myFunction(filename, likeTemplate="templete") -> likeTemplate="character" Method 3: myFunction(filename, likeFile="file") -> likeFile="character" Note that the arguments for Methods 2 & 3 are both ("character", "character"). Does anyone have any suggestions that would bot...

I''m a real Newb; just bought AWDwR and using it with Win2000 - it took me ages, and only after reading Curt Hibbs Rolling with Ruby, to realise that I needed to use Cmd.exe before using AWDwR''s dave> instructions. Did you "copy" an other user? Or did you create a templete for you users? If you copy from an other user, and if you have set the Unix attributes. Try this, remove the profile and user folder, goto the ADUC , Profile tab. Change something in the user and profile field so windows see's a change. Then klik apply. For other quick fix.
