Asterisk with MeritCall
...essage----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com]On Behalf Of Paul Hales Sent: Monday, November 22, 2004 6:07 PM To: 'Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion' Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Line load balancing We have 4 Telular mobile phone gateways hooked up to an Asterisk box, and we need the Asterisk box to balance the load across the 4 lines. Currently, Asterisk uses the first line, and subsequent lines when the first is busy. This means that our first line is in use almost 100%, and the last line is never used. Has...

seeking GSM 850/1900 gateway
...inal (FCT) or Fixed Wireless Terminal (FWT) devices. These typically have an FXS interface. http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+Connecting+to+the+Cellular+Network Unfortunately, the mainstream devices (Nokia, Ericsson, Siemens) seem to omit the US 850 MHz band. The few that have this band, e.g. Telular, are quite expensive (> $500) and I can't seem to find any good reviews. At the bottom are "docking stations" for cellular handsets, e.g. CellSocket. They are cheap enough (~ $100 + an old phone), and there is lots of commentary about them, but alas, it's mostly negative. Any...

PBX (Asterisk) <-> Cellular Phone Network
Maybe someone here has found a good solution to this problem. I voulenteer with a local Search And Rescue unit and I was speaking with the senior members about how they interface the command trailer PBX with the PSTN or cellular networks when they are on scene at a remote location. Turns out they don't. Thus that got me to thinking about how one would get Asterisk to interface with a

What is needed is some interface from * > Mobile Phone > Mobile Network Service. Which IP phone to use in Australia
Hi, all I am in Australia and I have to setup Asterisk in few offices. There will be IP phones in each office and I must be able to call between offices. I need actual handsets. I need "standard" handsets to be used by people. Those must support features like CID, call forward, etc. --- your normal office feature set. Also I need some sort of more complex handset to be used by
