Telrad + E&M T1 Trunk
All,
One of our customers is using a Telrad PBX, we are providing
phone server through asterisk via a T1 using e&m directly connected to
the Telrad system. We're using a T1 cross cable as normal, the T1 part
works great. No alarms. When we try and dial out the Telrad using a

Problem with Connecting PBX to Asterisk
We have an old Telrad 128KSU PBX to which I am trying to connect asterisk in
the following manner:
Current Setup:
Telco-> T1->PBX
Desired Setup:
Telco-> T1-> Asterisk-> T1-> PBX.

Is libpri symmetrical?
My client would like to add new functionality, such as call queuing, to
their PBX. They presently have a Telrad PBX; it has a T1/PRI circuit
from the CLEC and a few POTS lines. They use DID for some incoming
calls and an attendant for calls on the main number.
The client's commitment to customer service will not allow us to
outright replace their PBX with a new system--we could never have a
replace...

Emagen (a Telrad VM solution) -- any way to replace with *?
Hi, all. I've got a PoS Emagen VM system tied in with our Telrad PBX. I
hate 'em both, but I'm stuck with the Telrad for the time being. That
being said, does anyone know of a way to replace the VM solution with
Asterisk? I'd -love- to get an Asterisk box in the loop, here.

Hi, all. I've got an old Telrad PBX with an Emagen(?) voicemail box. The
VM box, itself, is beginning to show its age. Big-time. We're thinking it
might be time to look for a replacement. I'd love to install Asterisk
with an FXO card or something, but I don't think it supports whatever
protocol legacy PBX's us...
