hello all! I recently downloaded the tar ball for Sol 8 and have been spending time configuring Samba. In reading the documentation about Name Service Switch, it mentions to put libnss_winbind.so in /lib, then add winbind to /etc/nsswitch.conf. I must have misses something because I searched the unix server and cannot locate this file. Can anyone help? thx, john dziegiel

I was playing with this on my test machine, (redhat 5.2, samba 2.0.3) worked great, and I was really impressed. So I decided to install this on my office machine. Hi all! In the var directory I noticed a log. file that contains: nsswithc/winbindd_util.c:parse_id_list(711) and windbind uid parameter missing (anyone know what parm is missing??) I noticed in the log.winbindd file there's broken pipe errors which I hope are related to the missing parm error. thx, john
