file_column + form_remote_tag
..., I''m going to get form_remote_tag and file_column playing happily together. According to my research, no one has done this yet. If you happen to have tried this, and have some workable code, send me an email. I''d rather not duplicate the effort. Application Design Question
I am designing an application to run a fishing tournament I am hosting. Each fish entered will be given a point total based on the length of the fish and the species of fish. Each species has a point multiplier. For Example Trout have a multiplier of 10 so a 20 inch Trout would have a score of 200. My conundrum is in where and when do I calculate the points. The options I have come up

[OT] Best Blog + Wiki opinions?
...looking for suggestions for integrated Blog + Wiki (Bliki) apps. I''d prefer Rails, I want to hear opinions on all options! I''ve browsed through W:Bliki <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bliki>. Nothing in that list is immediately compelling. This is for my wife, who is not a technologist, and has a need to create a information-centric website. I''m looking for options that would allow blog integration as well. Question to answer for your suggestions: In the bliki you suggest, does the blogging filter understand wiki formatting? Let me hear it! -- ----------------------...

form with more than 1 file upload field saves 0 byte file for 1 file field
Im using the file_column plugin to upload files from my application. The problem I am encountering is that I have a form with 2 file upload fields and when I submnit that form with files selected, I would get a message from the browser(Firefox) saying that a script on the page is taking a long time to execute and whether I want to cancel it or continue. Whichever option I choose, only 1 file(PDF)

NEW RAILS SITE: Riding two bubbles at the same time
Today we finally opened the doors to "Street Easy" (http:// www.streeteasy.com/), a Real Estate Research Site for New York City. It was built by two guys in three months. It doesn''t have tags, but it has google maps. It rides two bubbles at the same time. It''s like road kill: the price tags will shock you, but you won''t be able to stop browsing around.
