Australian Options
I would just like to get a refresh of the situation for Australian users.
It would seem that the TE400P is currently available and is likely to
acheive approval for use in Australia within the next 2 months ? (when is
the end of summer?).
Once this is done, it will certainly suit larger installations, but it still
leaves a number of 'gaps'.
Anyone with analog phone lines will need either X1...

ISDN data connection through Asterisk
Hi,
Is there a simply way to allow dialout from ISDN modem to
outside number through Asterisk?
I've got an server with an Asterisk and the following cards:
1. TE110 -- to telco

files. I go in and add the required lines to configure the TE205P and
restart Asterisk.
All is fine until I reboot th...

Warning: No D-channels available! Using Primary on channel 16 anyway!
When this happens restarting zaptel and asterisk services, generally puts
the system back o...

RFD: With echo and other distortion, can ulaw/alaw line quality ever be good enough for faxing?
Folks,
I've been following recent discussions regarding echo and echo training with
much interest, since it's a problem we've never been able to eliminate here.
We're facing two challenges presently, and they may be related (or not):
a) Cisco 7960s in the office here echo back to our staff, but the customer
hears decent sound.
b) We've yet to be able to pass faxes through
