Troubleshooting TDMs (Packet capture like debugging)
Hi All,
I am looking for a way to troubleshoot issues with TDM (E1) trunks
with a provider.
Currently with SIP trunks I am using tcpdump to perform packet
captures between our gateways and the SIP providers IPs, capturing
traffic on all ports, to include both the SIP messages and the RTP
stream.
How can I achieve a similar result on TDM links connected to TDM cards
in Asterisk servers, where by

[Bug 91236] New: [NVC3] Passive DP to HDMI adapter cannot use pixel clocks greater than 165 MHz
...rnal display is a Seiki SE39UY04 connected by
HDMI to display port passive adapter.
We attempted to use a 3840x2160 at 30 mode which has a pixel clock of 297 MHz.
This is known to work fine in both the nvidia blob and the windows driver, so
the hardware has no issues driving this clock in a single TDMS link.
First the connector detection code will reject this mode from the default list
because the maximum TDMS speed is based on pre-HDMI 1.3 spec. Second even if
that is worked around the mode is higher than 165 MHz, so the display port
connection will enter dual link mode, which must be stopped i...

tdm (and x100p?) echo - fix is coming!
Good news!
FYI, worked with Mark this afternoon to test changes needed to reduce
or eliminate echo involving pstn calls on the new tdm fxo card (bug
#1902).
Three simple source code changes (testing-only at this point) resulted
in zero detectable echo on all incoming and outgoing tdm pstn calls,
even in the first second or two. I've not noticed any unusual side
effects at all. Since the

Digium support quality: Excellent
Hello!
I wanted to make sure that, in addition to my complaints, I make it very
clear: Digium's support is excellent. The jury is still out on the
usefulness of the TDM products. However, Digium has worked very hard to
make sure that this issue is resolved. I actually got an e-mail from
someone at Digium actually asking what they could do to make me happy! She
even gave me

Re: Echo and other reasons to migrate to BRI
Brent-
There is no good way to say what changing the hardware and PSTN hookup will
probably do for the echo problems. I'm not sure if you mentioned (lost in
the past history of your post now) what sort of hardware you're using for
PSTN connection now- TDMs, X100s, ATA's, etc- but that could also be a
potential cause. I've heard tell of aftermarket X100s and certain ATA's
being very finicky with echo- and age of hardware can sometimes make a
difference. I personally use and recommend the Cisco handsets- it's hard
(IMHO) to get echo ge...
