PRI echo issues: solvable?
Hello,
After solving the other "low hanging fruit" audio issues in our Asterisk
PBX, we are left with occasional cases of severe echo which we have not
found a solution for yet.
Our system:
- Asterisk 1.2.0-beta1
- TE110P on a PRI
- TDM04 and TDM40, but these are unrelated to current echo issues
- Fedora core 3
- Echo canceller KB1
Most calls have minimal, acceptable echo levels. But occasionally, we
get a call where the echo is delayed by a substantial amount (sometimes
around 250ms), and sounds as loud as the remote party.

Sipura SPA-3000 Beta
...preproduction beta of
the Sipura SPA-3000 FXS/FXO adapter. I've had the unit a few days and
am exploring it's workings. I really want it mostly as a
straightforward FXO adapter, to replace an X101p. Let me be clear, I'd
love to support Digium in every way possibe, and will likely buy a
TDM40 card shortly. But, the X101p has never worked well for me.
In any case, with respect to incomming calls on the SPA-3000 I do see
one odd thing happening that perhaps someone here can provide relevent
guidance. When a call arrives at the PSTN port the SPA-3K takes three
rings to pick it up. In this...

Interrupt latency problems
I'm debugging a TxFax problem whereby the fax transmission fails. I
suspect interrupt latency--some interrupt routine is holding its
interrupt too long. I have all unnecessary services switched off and X
is not running when I perform these tests. Some transmission are
successful while others fail at random points.
I've noticed that after I boot Linux, load zaptel, wcfxo, and wcfxs,
