Undefined method "full_description" when trying to run "rake spec"
Hello guys, I''m getting this weird error when trying to run the specs using "rake spec": /home/mauricio/NetBeansProjects/talkies/vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/test_process.rb:471:in `method_missing'': undefined method `full_description'' for #<Spec::Rails::Example::ControllerExampleGroup::Subclass_73::Subclass_9:0x7f5fdca4a810>

Agressive echo cancelation
Anyone know if it is possible to control how aggressively the "Aggressive" mode behaves. Meaning, is it possible to dial back the aggressive mode to have a happy medium between Regular and the Aggressive defaults. I have a situation where Normal echo cancellation is not quite enough, however when I turn on aggressive mode We are attacking it to hard and I am unhappy with the walkie

Low RX volume and half duplex/"walkie-talkie" on AEX-804E
Hi All, I have a ticket open with Digium, but based on their previous lack of support for the Asterisk Appliance, I'm not really holding my breath - and, honestly, I'm not 100% convinced it's a Digium issue in the first place (but I don't know where else to point fingers). We have an AEX-804E (PCI Express, 4 FXO ports, Hardware Echo Cancellation) in a Dell PowerEdge 1950 with

Full Duplex
We've had an issue since we went live nearly two years ago on Asterisk where people complain about not being able to talk while someone else is talking. I had assumed for a very long time this was because of the phones we went live with (Grandstream GXP-2000's) and for the longest time I believed this was a speakerphone problem only. Last week during budgets, a request to buy new

Voice activity detection
Hey sorry to hijack this thread, but I just remembered a request I wanted to make to the speex devs. I tried using the activity detector, but I just couldn't get it working well. I ended up using my own, where I think it just considered voice on if it passed a certain threshold (I know, pretty primitive). I also tried one that checked for a signal, like if the strongest frequency

Can I recommend theora to my readers yet? Please?
Hi, I'm working on updates to the WWW FAQ (okay, it's a little much to use the singular in 2006, but it was the first!). Embedded multimedia has been a sore spot for a while. I've been recommending that people embed old-school MPEG, because it works in all players. But it's awful. Terrible bitrates. I'm on the verge of recommending SWF instead, even though it's a hideous

...wrong thing. We have historically worked around that bug by introducing *another* bug, which is not to *use* the DMA API in the virtio driver. Sure, we can co-ordinate those two bug-fixes. But let's not talk about them as anything other than bug-fixes. > > Drivers use DMA API. No more talky. > > Well for virtio they don't ATM. Sound quality issue
Greetings everyone, I've been having some strange issues with my Asterisk box and some snom phones. In some cases, when I talk, the sound in the other end is cut off, I stop earing the background noise - looks like a walkie-talkie. I've tried this between phones in the same network and in all but one this happens. The one where it doesn't happen is the one connected directly to the
