looking for a better ATA
I currently us Linksys/Ciscio, Grandstream and AudioCodes ata's. none of
the three perform well in all enviroments. Between stablity issues, T38 and
DTMF talkoff all three suffer some combination of issues.
I am looking at Patton and Innomedia. Has any one tried either brand and
what is your experience with them. Which would be the base for stability,
audio quality, provisioning, DTMF talkoff and T38
Any advise before I start testing with these brands...

Asterisk DTMF 'talkoff' issues
Hi List,
I am using Asterisk 1.6.2.18. One strange problem come into my knowledge
after using this version of asterisk.
Without pressing any digits or key from my mobile, I am getting DTMF into my
asterisk server.
For getting DTMF I have use one opensourse application which gets events
from asterisk server and store into database. And after that I made my own
script to gets these DTMF keys and

Beeps and noises during calls
I have a very annoying problem that we hear on our end, but the other
party doesn't hear. There are random beeps and echo type noises that
occur. They are present during voicemails, and present on my end during
calls. Is anyone experiencing the same deal? I have asked this a
number of ways on the list, and never get a response...
Thank you.

Delay between DTMF Down & Detected Digit
...t;21"
wasn't a valid extension and the subsequent "2" dropped the caller into
the Sales queue.
I did my best to search for this issue in the archives and I found one
reference to relaxdtmf, but I wasn't sure if that would address the
issue and I wouldn't want it to cause talkoff.
For reference, we're using a Wildcard TE410P for these incoming calls.
I've included the configuration for the ivr and a scrubbed segment from
the log. If any additional information is needed, please let me know.
Any help is appreciated in advance!

RE: [PROBLEM] Still exist --> DTMF Tones, occures in Asterisk - Channelwide
...lt, i
guess i remember default is yes ?
However, the dtmfmode should be the same, i think so, too, but my SNOMs
working pretty well under RFC2833 , but my cheap Allnet?s
cannot handle dtmf unless it is in INFO Mode :(
But, i think, that cannot the problem. I have searched the Internet for
"talkoff" but can only find the "relaxdtmf" option to increase it.
I cant understand why it happens on ALL kind of channels, if it would
only happen on the SNOMs or something else, i could try INFO or
something like this.
This problem exists - i guess few weeks before or after settling up...

WANTED : Zaptel Patch - Dtmfthreshold
I am using Zaptel for my Wildcard and got DTMF Tones in my conversations
since a long time.
To control this , i search for a possibility to control the detection of
DTMF and to control talkoff, called "dtmfthreshold".
As seen in mISDN* i am in need of an Patch to control the
"dtmfthreshold" in zaptel, it must be possible, because there is an value,
staticly set to 1000, the value could be controlled between x and 4000,
thats the things i "think to know"....

innomedia ATA's
We are testing the innomedia ATA's to possibly replace our current line up
of ATA's that we are using. Has anyone used their product? What is their
track record on stability, voice quality, DTMF talkoff, T.38
Thanks

Background / Invalid Extension through cell phone
Hi,
I have had an issue for a long time, and really just can't solve it.
My boss and others seem to have a problem when they call into our
asterisk phone system. It often takes 3-4 tries of entering an
extension before the system gets it right.
Below is my context that the call comes into, and some debugging from
the asterisk console.

Problem with DTMF 'looping' / mis-dials (X100P card)
Hi all,
I'm having a problem with * being very finicky about the length of
DTMF key-presses during menus, voicemail, etc. Basically, short (<100
ms) tones are ignored, anything between 100ms (or so) and about 300ms
is correctly detected, and anything >300ms is interpreted as multiple
presses of the same key. This is terrible for callers who are trying
to get to the correct

Can someone give me a clue as to why I keep hearing DTMF type beeps on my

key on their phone but they are not!
Has anyone ever heard of this before? It use to happen once in a while,
today it's been happening a LOT and it's driving me batty..

Why is it that I can call out from my GSBudgetone SIP phone but the

Why is it that when I call my asterisk phone number, I get a fast busy?
