0.36 problem?
I hate to say this but I have just uninstalled and reinstalled a freshly downloaded wxruby2-preview-0.0.36-i386-mswin32.gem as from http://rubyforge.org/frs/?group_id=35 and received exactly the same error.
Is it possible the corrected gem is not yet available from the download site?
This is all against a relatively fresh/new basic Ruby 1.8.5 installation on a fully patched XP Professional box.

How to provide a result from D(f(x), "x") to a curve(f'(x)) ???
Hi all,
I want to provide the result from D() to curve(), because I want to plot the k-th derivative of some functions. Actually, I copy from console the result given by D() and paste inside curve(). With a lot of functions and high degree differentiation this process is tedious. Can I provide directly??
# what I actually have done (very simple function)
D(expression(x^3), "x") # copy

r format questions
Hi,
1) I have noticed that when I use the aggregate function it outputs numbers in the results. for example:
aggregate by product
group.1 Aggregate
1 ProductA 1000400.00
2 ProductB 23232323.00
3 Missing 232323.00
is there a way to suppress the numbers infront of aggregate outputs. I checked and they don't look like columns when I do a summary so I can't -1

Theora & Vorbis on your mobile phone
Hey guys + gals,
Would you know where to point me to for an open source or commercial implementation of Theora & Vorbis for your mobile phone?
Maybe as a Symbian app? Maybe a Java midlet?
I'd like to be able to download & play video files to the mobile as well as maybe stream them too? Am I asking too much? :-)
Thanks in advance for your help!
Callum.

Trouble with 'smooth' using xyplot in lattice
Hello,
I am fairly new to R am stumped on how to get the xyplot function in the lattice package to produce a scatter plot of count data versus time, such that the count data represent 8 different groups, and the plot produced has 8 unique "smoothed" lines for the different groups. This is the closest I can get to the desired plot:
xyplot(masmean ~ mas, data = Pre96CR.masmeans, groups

Slightly OT: Dell Poweredge 2850 with 4GB RAM
Hi all,
I got the previously mentioned Dell Poweredge 2850 with 4GB RAM and Perc4e
raid controller. Installation went well and the raid is pretty fast even with
level 5.
However I have another problem now... CentOS 5.2 only sees 256MB RAM. Googling
a bit, got me to install kernel-PAE, this went well, but CentOS still sees
only 256MB.
Googling some more, I found a bios update was suggested and
