I am attempting to forward http requests to my external interface, from
internal machines to a machine that is located on the internal interface,
via the firewall rules. Externally, I am able to forward the port to the
webserver located behind the firewall, and I want to use the same
hostname/ip for clients if they are on both sides of the firewall.
Note, that I only want to do just the one port,

clarification: Port Forward
I am missing a tiny detail on understanding a simple port forward:
I want to forward just like the FAQ listed, via
#ACTION SOURCE DEST PROTO DEST PORT
DNAT net loc:192.168.1.3:22 tcp 1022
Which works just fine. Now I also tried this following type of rule,
which I thought would work, but it did not.
#ACTION SOURCE DEST PROTO DEST-PORT

[slightly OT] Problem with subversion 1.3.1 on OSX Tiger
I have a subversion repo on a Debian Sarge server. I do rails
development on two Debian workstations (home, work) and also a
MacBookPro.
I installed subversion from Darwinports. Things worked ok for a while
and I did commits from and updates to all three machines until today.
When I did svn status I noticed a lock on the working dir.
$ svn status
? Rakefile
? readme
! L .
.... etc

Such a great product.
Once again, I find shorewall to be a great product. I wanted to add a
second IP address using once card, ie eth0:1, and then forward only
what comes to that interface to a DMZ host. Shorewall easily handled my
needs, with only 2 minutes of reading the FAQ, and 30 seconds of
editing.
Thanks again!

localhost to localhost rules?
How do I enable localhost to localhost rules?

combining rules
Being a person that loves speed, I enjoyed hearing that I could combine the
rules to use multiport. So I thought that it would be cool to have a option
for Shorewall to do this for me. For instance, after reading the rules, and
having a configuration item set, my independent rules would be combined to
use multiport. I would love to write Allow* rules, and have them combined.

fw2fw
Is there such a rule are fw to fw ? For instance, how do I specify localhost
to localhost, or a eth1 to eth1 interface?

local yp/nis on the server
So, now I see why I was doing the fw 2 fw rule. It was for my YP/NIS usage.
Does anyone know how I get that to work?
