Setting printer properties with prnadmin.dll (W2k Resource Kit)
...rintermodels[2] it doesn't work, the properties are not
saved
on the samba-server. If we set the propertiess once by hand the script works
and samba is storing the properties from the dumped file correctly.
Any ideas where to look at to get it work with every model?
1: Lexmark Optra S1855 and T614
2: HP Laserjet 4100 and HP Laserjet 4050

Printing with Samba 2.2.5 and lprng
...ing from a station under Windows 2000 but I obtain the error "the handle is invalid".
I installed the drivers for my impimante on the W2000 station but I would like to also know if the drivers of the printer are necessary for the W2000 workstation AND the Linux server.
Printer: Optra T614

...up and I must confess I do not understand how it was setup so that
it can be mapped through a corporate print server as well. I would assume
SAMBA plays a role in this as well.
Anyways, we had a Lexmark Optra Lx+ that printed fine under this setup.
Then IT installed a new printer, a Lexmark Optra T614 and we started to have
problems.
The problem I am having is that many times when printing, at the start or
end of the job, two sheets are printed out that contain nothing but "%!" on
it at the very top.
The first thing I tried was installing the newest Linux RPM from Lexmark:

Ah...Yes. I just fixed this in CVS yesterday. Acftually I was working
with the Optra S 1855 PCL. Apparently there is a bug in this driver
because it call the AddPrinterProcessor() RPC without uploading the
