systray apps invisible
I have a problem with applications residing in systray. The systray is
always invisible, nowhere onscreen to be found. What the app starts I
sometimes see a window showing itself and the immediately disappearing
again. The applikation is running but I cannot access it.
I have to start the app with desktop in order to gain access to the
systray, but...

Wine 1.0 rc3 systray icon malfunction
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: RIPEMD160
Hi all,
I noticed that my Windows application's systray icon no longer docks
into my KDE's systray. (Windows application's systray icon shows up as a
standalone window now.) This occurred only after my upgrade from rc2 to
rc3 just now.
Windows application: uTorrent
Desktop environment: KDE 3.5.9 (Ubuntu Hardy)
I saw that there is a bug fix rel...

utorremt systray
Hi
I have found that utorrent doesn't display its systray icon unless
I switch from dual screen to
single screen. When I login to twinview the systray icon is missing
but if I use nvidia-settings
I can switch to a single screen. and back and have a systray icon.
However if I restart utorrent
it will be as before and no systray icon. Should I file a bug...

wine git hardy systray issue
I'm totally stumped. I'm running Hardy Heron and wine from git (I just
updated about 3 hours ago) and I'm having the systray issue where wine apps
in the systray just show up as blank space and you cannot interact with the
systray icon.
This issue was supposedly fixed in 0.9.60 and backported into the Hardy
repos, but no matter what I do I can't get it fixed. I've tried the default
hardy repo build. I've t...

Print spool icon in systray reports jobs pending when none are pending
I have an issue I'd like to resolve with a client and the print spool
icon in the systray...
If the user (on w2k) mouses over the print spool icon, it tells them
"xxx jobs in queue" or some such, and the xxx increments once for each
new print job they send.
Also, the print spool icon never disappears from the systray until a
reboot, or re-login. Once a job is sent to one...

0.7.8 Note on Systray App Requiring Password
...is closed and that will be restarted as
part of a new KDE session. If compiz is enabled to start as part of a KDE
session, then the keepassx password dialog is hidden behind the "overlay", for
lack of better words, provided by compiz when KDE starts. Compiz correctly
handles the keepassx systray icon and it appears as expected.
However, since the password entry dialog is never presented, there is no way
of accessing or shutting down keepassx from the desktop. (yes, you can kill it
from an xterm or simply issue kwin --replace, but the systray icon is
non-responsive) Activating kwin immedi...

Missing package
The big update caused one of the rare re-starts on my mail server, so I saw
the startup messages that I had forgotten about.
Oct 28 10:50:04 borg2 python: [3424]: warning: python-dbus not installed.

I cna't find any package python-dbus. dbus-python is installed, but hp-
systray doesn't recognise that as the same thing. Is it...

wine-systray too small
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem, but I can't find any
reference to it anywhere...
When I start an app such as getright that minimises straight away to the
systray, I get a tiny window with no icons, which my window list calls
"Wine-Systray". I have to be super accurate to put the mouse in the
right spot to right click on what should be the getright icon (but is
actually a space about 1 pixel high). The window isn't resizable.
Is there any ot...

systray
dear,
I'm running ubuntu Dapper with newest version of wine, and everything
is fine. Only, if I start utorrent.exe via the session-manager of
ubuntu (where I configured wine so it starts utorrent on start-up) I
cannot see a system-tray icon. The same problem is for my UD-Grid
device, I can't see 'm in the system tray.
If I start manualy the program, it's all fine: even the system

Regression test starting point
I am wanting to perform a regression test on an application but am not certain of the starting point I want to test. Test results for 0.9.53 indicated simply that it worked OK, without details of all aspects of the application, some of which are being reported as broken now. So, I want to confirm that it really did work OK then, as when I test with 0.9.60 through to 1.0rc3 it fails on some

...em". How should I do that??? I cannot change owner or
group of that file. And I don't want to run UD.EXE as root, I want to
run it as "normal" user.
Something strange:
As I mentioned there is somehow a memory access failure, but a tiny
little window is opened named "Wine-Systray" - one can only see the
menubar and the mouse-cursor disappears when moving across it.
That's maybe because when this program is startet under Windows it first
appears only in the systray.
Can somebody help me to fix the whole thing?
I should mention that I'm still new to Linux and...

Palm Hotsync success...
...ram\ Files/Palm/hotsync.exe
If I don't use the desktop argument, I see the system tray appear and
immediately disappear again, having me to kill wine to regain
control. I wonder why the system tray disappears???? I would prefer to
have it instead of the -desktop which is huge compared to the systray
window. -managed or not does not make a difference.
I can also establish a ppp link between the palm device and linux and
perform a direct network hotsync. Hotsync.exe does not see the
difference (not sure it should, either).
These are the only 4 "problems" (some of them show up more th...

OneNote on a DualBoot system
I have a Toshiba laptop that came with Windows XP and OneNote
installed. I then installed Ubuntu Dapper Drake and am dual-booting
the system. I want to run OneNote on Ubuntu with WINE. Obviously I
could set up WINE to use the dual-booting native DLLs (but I don't know
how to do that), and I can't install OneNote directly on Ubuntu with
WINE because while I have a legal copy of the full

WINE install of Dreamweaver MX fails
Hello. I'm new to this forum.
Before I posted this, I did due diligence searching for an answer to my problem. I found and tried 2 possibles; but neither would work for me.
First my machine specs:
64 machine dual boot between WinXP and Ubuntu Janty Jackalope 9.04.
When I used Hardy Heron 8.04 last year, I was able to install Version 7.0 of Dreamweaver MX on a fluke.. I still don't know
