VPB Driver Question
Hi, I hope some can help me out, as I have a problem with the vpb driver in *, and I am hoping someone has hit these issues and can offer some advice. First off, I'm connected to a British Telecom SystemX exhange with the local Tel Co. I can ring out fine, but when the callee on POTS answers, the vpb driver detects a loop drop and immediantly disconnects the call. I have currently set LoopDropDetect = 0 in vpb.conf but then when the remote user terminates the call, and I hang up on my Polycom Si...

smbmount and UTF-8 characters
...em. All extended characters display as expected. If I use the "smbmount" command to mount these shares, and then use Konqueror to browse to "/mnt/projects" I can not longer see the extended characters. An example of one of the many variants of smbmount I have used: smbmount //systemx/projects /mnt/projects/ -o username=******,password=******,workgroup=****,codepage=cp850,iocharset= utf8 The filesystem for /mnt/projects is reiserfs, which I understand supports utf8 just fine, though I have not used any explicit mount options. Can anybody guide me towards the magic that will m...

Asterisk Echo problems, Urgent, please help,
...eir own voice back at them. I'm running the CVS Head code, on RH9.0. This is on a P4 box with 2gb of memory. The client SIP phones are Polycom Soundpoint IP600's, WiFi ZyXel 2000w handsets, and X-Lite (free) PC clients. All see the same problem. There is a bridge into the POTS (BT's SystemX) using a Voicetronix OpenSwitch12 card and the vpbhp driver. The echo occurs on both SIP->POTS calls, and SIP->SIP calls. I've tried a number of volume adjustments to correct the echo but it is always the same. If anyone has any ideas I'd really appriciate some help, as this is a...

Xen EFI boot how to?
I have a IBM System x3600 series server with UEFI. I managed to compile the xen EFI (xen-4.2-unstable.efi). The machine is currently running Ubuntu with grub2. I can see a grubx64.efi in /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/grubx64.efi Where should I put the xen efi ? I tried creating a efi/EFI/xen/xen-4.2-unstable.efi and added it as a boot option using efibootmgr. All I get in that case is a blank screen. I

IBM 5396-1Kx ups nearly recognised.
...ethod - Arch User Repository build script updated to use latest NUT stable source. ups.conf - [5396] driver=usbhid-ups port=auto vendorid="04b3" I am trying to use an IBM 5396-1kx UPS from 11/2010 conneted via USB to N-U-T (see - http://powerquality.eaton.com/ibm/EMEA/Products/UPS-systemx.asp?CC=1). I'm currently using the usbhid-ups driver but as the ups usb-ID isn't recognised in the udev rules I run it as root. Running usbhid-ups gives a "device not recognised" error but using '-x explore' gives a huge pile of information back. Though this could mean...
