installed. I've setup rsync in daemon mode on system B and want to rsync
a directory /projects/sw/lib/ from system A to system B. My rsyncd.conf
file on system B looks like this:
[swlibrary]
path = /projects/sw
comment = Master Libraries
If I execute on system A:
rsync systemB::
I can see the module [swlibrary].
I then execute this command on system A:
cd /projects/sw
rsync -avz lib/ systemB::swlibrary/lib
When I check the directory on system B, no directories/files have been
copied to system B.
And if I check /var/adm/messages on system B, I see:

Share and Remote mounting ZFS for anonyous ftp
...when I try to
create a common ftp mount point between the 2 hosts (load balancing)
I get permission errors or fchmown errors.
I was wondering if there is a setup/configuration issue or won''t ZFS
work with remote mounting and ftp.
Configuration:
SystemA sharing /export/ftp/incoming (zfs)
SystemB mounting SystemA:/export/ftp/incoming
Both hosts have the same permissions on the directories.
I''ve setup anonymous ftp on both systems with the ftpconfig.
Went through the steps of setting up a shared zfs file system:
zfs sharenfs=on portal/ftp-incoming
zfs set sharenfs=rw=SystemB.domain...

maclist or rule question
Hi,
I want to automate some of the maclist and rule functionality:
User connects to the network and gets a DHCP address from the shorewall box.
Using squid and redirection, all the user can do is go to a login page
on the firewall
User logs in correctly to the form on the webpage and a process captures
MAC and IP address info from the dhcpd.leases file
Once authenticated, a maclist entry and an

running dhcp-server on dom0 over a vnic.
Before I post to networking-discuss I wanted to ask if anyone had
tried this on this:
I''m trying to run a dhcp-server on a dom0 over a vnic so that the
domU''s can get IP addresses.
I created a vnic r1 over e1000g0 and gave it a static IP
172.0.94.111/24 so I can run the dhcp server over this vnic.
