...I'm confused with those whole samba/security thing. I'm running the latest SAMBA without encryption and the default share security. As a result, I can't get my NT PDC to sync browse lists with my samba server, which is on a different subnet. I get the following error in log.nmb: sync_browse_lists: NT-SERVER0 rejected the browse sync sessionsetup Is there a way to get around this without using smbpasswd. I'd rather use the PDC to auth clients. I tried setting security=server and password server = NT-SERVER0 but I got the same rejected message. NT-SERVER0 is being rejected but what a...

Browsing Problems
Hello. I've got a Samba server and I'd like it to be master browser and everything else except domain controller (the customers wants a workgroup, not a domain). Lately a Windows 2003 server was added to the net and then I guess it was removed. I keep getting messages like the following in the logs: > Apr 10 03:07:51 apocalypse nmbd[57552]: [2005/04/10 03:07:51, 0]

After creating the BDC, I restarted one of the clients but don't see it establishing connection with the BDC, instead it connects as
